CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
Take comfort that she is at peace.
I myself find comfort when I don't rely on others, I find others are too self centered.
Can you take your daughter with you? You might just find she would be a great comfort to you (Sorry, don't know how old she is)
Hugs,
It reminds me of the time many years ago that we stopped at another sister in laws house on the way to the hospital.
My mother was always babysitting at the drop of a hat for my brother and her. I was pregnant, but the baby had died, unknown to me, and I had a fever of 103 ( I almost died of blood poisoning and was out of my head).
We stopped at my SIL's on the way to the hospital. My mother frantically ran to do the door with my two year old daughter and asked if she would babysit while she took me to the hospital. "no" was her only reply.
My mother had to wait in the waiting room with my little girl, not knowing what was going on with me alone and scared.
She never apologized or asked how I was. She did make some sort of transparent excuse.
I don't know what makes people so mean.
You are right. It makes you feel like left over garbage.
I am so glad that our Lord sees us as precious, and not left over garbage.
