As some of you know alittle of my life with my distant son,i have the other distant son and is more distant than the other.Does that make any sense?He has 2 children my GS,GD.And hardly no bond but I still love very dearly.My older sister took that away and son was Estranged for few years and tried to put back together and its a verble relationship better than nothing.But my question is do you all think God will be mad if we never talk with our children.I know notmuch we can do if they don't respond,sometimes I feel afraid I hope this isn't a stupid question.

No question is a stupid question when it comes to the love we have for our EC. God knows that, and he weeps with us at the way these EC treat us.

God is our Father and loves us so much. His grace binds us to Him. He understands our problems and sorrows. He weeps for us and comforts us. No, God is not a God of vengeance but of love. He forgives us all of our sins and brings us to Him. We can only control our own actions and not any one else/s actions. We have no way to mend things with our EC if they won't cooperate. God's peace and love be with you

We can not change what our EC do. If they don 't want a relationship with is or communication with is we can not force them. It is very sad and we would love for then to be different. All we can do is pray for God to change their hearts.

edr, Jesus forgives only his disciples when they ask for forgiveness for something they have done wrong. If you have done something wrong to cause this estrangement and have apologized to your ED for it and asked Jesus to forgive you, then you have done all that God requires of you, the rest is up to your ED and it is on her shoulders from there on out. You have done your part. Let God handle her from there on out. If they are the ones that choose to never speak to us, then the fault lies with them, not us. We have to be willing to have peace at all times - that is all.

Unlike us, God never takes vengeance from impure motives. His vengeance is for the purpose of punishing those who have offended and rejected Him.

As Christians, we are to follow the Lord Jesus’ command to “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44), leaving the vengeance to God.

Even when the innocent suffer and the wicked appear to prosper, it is for God alone to punish.

“The LORD is a jealous and avenging God;
the LORD takes vengeance and is filled with wrath.
The LORD takes vengeance on his foes and
maintains his wrath against his enemies”
(Nahum 1:2).

Thank you for your responses,sometimes I guess I feel a little down cause I wanted more for my children,and wanted a loving relationship with them.And I just don't want to leave this world not knowing if they even care.And for them to know that I love them.I tell them when ever I talk with them and I don't want them to have regrets when I am gone.I am not going anywhere soon I hope lol. I guess as we get older these thoughts creep in and stay with us awhile.
