CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
I have a Christian friend whose drug addicted son has had little to do with her and her husband for years, and they became "subsitute" parents and mentors to many young adults in their church over the years, choosing to focus on those who desire their fellowship, not on those do do not.
I will also pray for your son, to open his heart to both of you.
Hugs to you for blessing me today...Maddie
We too had the awesome experience of "parenting" a young man these past few months as he was living with us and preparing to go to seminary. He has since moved on but we will consider him our "adopted" son forever and I believe he considers us his surrogate parents.
We filled a need in his life and definitely filled a need in ours. Praise be to God for bringing just the right people into our lives and just the right time.
I'll remember your special friend and her family in my prayers.
