CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
Today, for the first time in 8 years, my son Adam and I met my former ES and his family for brunch. He had flowers for me and a beautiful card that said he is so happy to have his family back again. He said both he and his wife feel blessed and their daughter loves me so much. It has been about 11 months now and we have walked slowly, talked about how the estrangement came about and now move forward. I pray for each of you that you are reunited with your EC also.
I don't know if I told you or not but my ES came back when his father was diagnosed with cancer. My DH passed away 11/9/14 so I feel so sad my DH never got to enjoy watching our granddaughter growing up, but God must have a plan.
Anyway, Happy Mother's Day to all you incredible mothers. Our minister showed a video this morning. I laughed so hard. Go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxjLVyYiIgM&feature=player_embedded. Truly felt like she was telling me how I used to sound. It is Anita Renfroe on "Momisms".
