CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
You are so right, when our adult children see that we can function without them in our lives, it makes them see that they are not responsible for our happiness.
The best gifI is to be living a happy and healthy life without them....I love how you expressed that!
Thanks for your positive post.
My son, is just not even close enough to actually see that I am living my life in a forward positive motion..sometimes I can get stuck in the negative, however, it is not my reality every day. If he made any effort to actually make contact..like your son did..I am sure that my estranged son would likely be quite surprised that God is keeping me healthy in spite of my sadness over missing out on enjoying his child, my grandson, who I am a complete stranger to.
It would be suh a joy to receive a call. It has been much longer than 6 months for me..but then again, God is in the miracle business..and He can help make this call happen. The waiting and the patience needed is what God is teaching me.
So glad you gave us such good news ...and it is so sweet that you titled it "Forgiven"...yes, forgiveness,
such an important factor in reconciliation. Forgiven three ways: from our God, from our estranged child, and also forgiving ourselves. Such a good God! I rejoice with you Jessica!
Thank you. I will keep you and your son in my prayers! I had so many people praying for this amazing work of God to happen! You are now in mine!
Blessings
