Although I have improved, I still struggle to obey God in acting instead of reacting especially with our son and DIL's refusal to accept responsibility for this estrangement and putting an end to it before my DH and I can no longer accept their apologies. It feels like a selfish desire to do what I want and not what God wants.
As far as my ES and DIL goes, I ask God to remove that stony part of their hearts and replace it with a soft heart that will rejoice in obeying their heavenly Father. I ask that He continues to convict my ES to the point he will step up to the plate and do what God wants instead of what DIL wants for our relationship. I can see the softening of his heart from our last conversation with him, but our DIL evidently is just as hardened as ever. God usually works THROUGH people. I believe He would work on our DIL through our son but what my son really needs most now is COURAGE to do the right thing and
