Thought this article was sad, but it also sheds light on the thinking of this generation.

Good article Maria! It didn't really say anything new but did confirm what we all have said here. The only thing that surprised me a bit was..."Often, parents have been married 40 years. ­According to my online survey, 45 per cent of those parents with estranged ­children are ­married, 22 per cent divorced and 22 per cent re-married, sometimes more than once.’"]...I would have guessed that 45% was due to divorce based on what I gathered from "loosely" observing. I that was interesting.

The other thing that I though was good advice to was that "open communication is the key to good relationships in life." I agree with that but you can't force anyone to communicate with you if they don't want to. How do you communicate with the silent treatment? You can't.
