I feel really down and i feel my dil has got my son where she wants him to be.I am really hurt by there actions on what they are doing with money from homeinsurance.I saw her daughter asking for tape to fix her glasses,i ask if they got them fixed they said no i couldnt believe it.But i saw dil wearing the boots "uggs' they are 100.00 boots and buy my gs shoes from consignment shop do i have a right to be upset,dil wearing Nike shirts,pants sneakers,rental car thats cost 254.00 a week and still has it 6 wks later,new cell phones not cheap ones like wehave you knowyou get itfree withcontract.What is wrong with this generation.They couldnt even buy gs a cake for bday.i am so upset,if you say something they twist it tomake me feel like i am doing something wrong.

Mine always puts herself first period. She makes no bones about it. Selfish, spoiled ingrates about sums it up. Mine would buy makeup before spending a dime on her son, that is just who she is. Sad,

It is hard to observe this, edr. It is best not to say anything as you know. Our EC do not want to hear advice has been my experience. We pray that God will reveal truth to them. We live in a self-centered world especially in the end-times.

Wow! That's what you call narcissistic! Very selfish & self-serving behavior! I am SO thankful my ES has no children & isn't married. His dad was that way too when I was married to hm...all about himself. You definitely have reason to be upset! The sad thing is, these GC will remember the way there were pushed to the back & they way they were treated. That breeds more dysfunction.
I agree lindajoan, we are in the end of days. I can feel it.

The one thing that most of us have in common concerning our EC is their self-centeredness and lack of care about us. May God please open their eyes and their hearts and bring families together.

Yea its all about for my son and dil.I am really cutting back on christmas this year for them,i will give son and dil some money split it between the grown kids or put money with there money for what they want.I dont care what they do with it.We still have no idea where they live and its ok.Son will bring gs over saturday to spend with me and his poppop.We are going to take him to candy cane hunt and he pick a knew christmas ornament out and he can see santa clause.I am thankful to know that my reasoning is normal.

Edr, yes, you have plenty of reasons to be upset! It is so hard to see our GC suffer or be neglected. The mother bear comes out stronger I think for the GC sometimes than it did for their parents, at least it is the case for me! I wanted to really hurt my own child when I saw marks left on a GC from my child's hand the first time it happened. And it took all I had not to do just that.

Then the Lord began to work on me, what you say?? why work on me, I did not hurt my GC?? And then I heard God say, the first time I saw you cause hurt to your child, that child's parent, I wanted to hurt you badly too, but I did not, and believe me none of us have been so perfect a parent that we have not also caused hurt to our own children! Instead, the Lord said to me... I showed you mercy. I showed you mercy, so that you would know how someday to show your own child my mercy, the mercy that I taught you! Show them mercy, so that you can continue to also show them love....my unconditional love!!

So sorry. In my career I see this alot, now that it has happened to me in life, where the DIL and ES only care about their self, wonder what will happen when they do have children. Praying

I have told both of our sons"Dont do me any favors,dont have anymore grandchildren on my behalf" thats there call. I will not put through the hurt they have put me through and still keeps going.I dont want to get close to the sweet babies,and my heart getting broke.I try to keep my guard up andprotect myself.
