Sovery, I relate to you so much having a young ED about the age of your ES. They both believed they were serving God. Clearly, they are being rebellious to God and family. My prayer is that God will bring our ED to a place where she has no where else to turn except for God and family with a repentant heart. Only God can do it.

Please do not feel badly for taking medication. Many people do it. It is temporary and gets you through a rough patch. God gives us many means of help while still remaining our main source of strength and our Healer.

The medication is only temporary and if you feel better, that is all that matters. I take antidepressants and know it takes a few days or even a week or so for your body to totally adjust. You need some temporary help so don't feel bad or guilty. This has got to be one of the worse things that we can possibly endure. As said by some one else, there is grief like death but no closure so it just continues. God will bring us through this and be right by us every step of the way. I pray that God enlightens all of our EC to His Word, His Commandments and His Will. We are here with and for you.

Soverysadmom, I think antidepressants are very appropriate to take to help get through a rough time because our serotonin level is knocked off balance. You just have to make sure it is the right antidepressant for you. I had to start taking them after I had a horrible falling out with my daughter, SIL and my own Mother. It was a nightmare and I was having nightmares. Like you, I couldn't quit crying. But the first type of antidepressant I took I had a bad reaction to (that one is no longer on the market.) So my Dr. put me on another one which worked fairly well. I was on them for a couple of years. Plus I was trying to eat better and exercise and get healthy. Then I started weaning myself off over another year. I slowly reduced the dose because I wanted to make sure I did not have a rebound reaction. I have been off of them for about 1 1/2 years now. I still have bad days, but not as bad as I did at first when I couldn't quit crying. The antidepressants helped me get through the worst part. So I think you are doing the right thing at this point. I hope that helped you not to be hard on yourself for taking them. Hugs and prayers going your way.

I've been on them to help me sleep. Ive struggled for years with depression. there is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. God made the treatment available so take advantage of it and I hope you start to feel better soon. Be kind to yourself. We are way too hard on ourselves. We are all human and doing the best we can, don't beat yourself up, we already have plenty of people who have already done that to us.

Sovery - so glad that you found something that helps and that you are getting some sleep now. All issues are just compounded without sleep. Taking care of yourself is so important. Every day of your life is precious to God. Blessings.
