we alone cannot handle. Most of us have tried in all sorts of ways, to fix something we cannot. Some of us are overcome with the weight of trying to carry our burden. Lots of us have racked our brains trying to figure out things that we will never understand. Many of us have tried to heal ourselvesm, but we remain broken. Most of us are trying to grabble with estrangement, but it is a formidable foe that is hard to defeat.
Maybe there are some things in life that are beyond what we can handle? Maybe in our humanity, we are limited. Maybe we can only go so far on our own. Maybe we need someone greater than ourselves to help us.
Tonight, let me give what is beyond what I can handle to a God who is able to do far and above what I ask.
