CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
We are not in control, much as we would like to think we are (speaking to myself). God is ultimately in control, and we have no idea what he has in store for each of us. Our job is to remain steadfast in our faith, trusting that He cares for us.
Gordos, I am sorry that your siblings do not show kindness to you. We can not change others. We can only control our reactions to others. It is clear that they do not understand estrangement like most of our families. Thankfully, we have one another, here.
I'm blessed that my siblings were and are still understanding and supportive of me throughout my ED's estrangement. They went through my former husbands infidelity along with me, and witnessed his attempt to estrange both children from me through untruths and unkind behavior toward me, in order to prevent the children from remaining with me, and having to make child support payments. He wanted them to choose him, and cut ties completely from me, so he could move on with his new life and new GF, lock, stock, and barrel, as though I'd never even existed for the last 17 years.
I'm grateful that I have the support of my siblings, the love and devotion of a wonderful son, who has grown into a Godly man, and most of all, the love of Our Lord and Savior.
I will keep your family in my prayers......
Please in know you and Stevie are in my prayers.
