An Adult Granddaughter That I Have Never Met!

My daugter disowned her entire family after she joined Liberty Bible in Lynchburg, Va.   She says we are sinners (and I guess SHE isn't?!?).


I have an adult granddaughter that I have never met.


My daughter has always stretched the truth, even as a little girl, so I can imagine the stories she has relayed about us!  But we have a clear concience,  I hope that SHE does!


Lets share our experiences!  I would love that!

my daughter also distanced herself from us when she attended bible college. She is now estranged from us. It's been very confusing since we are christian, why her experience at bible college would distance her from us. I'm so sorry for your experience. I hope with time our daughters come back to us.

No changes, I doubt very much if there are ever any. But I have accepted the fact and am doing fine. Perhaps the granddaughter will contact me out of curiosity? BUT WHAT ABOUT THE LIES SHE HAS BEEN TOLD? I am on 23AndMe, she can look me up if her mother hasn't brain washed her into instinction!

I hope your granddaughter reaches out. I would hope being able to see you and who you really are would outweigh anything she's been told. Since she is a adult have you ever written to her or reached out? I have college age daughters and in this day and age with Amazon it's so easy just to send a little thinking of you package right to their door. I go back and forth on reaching out but have tried to put less thought into it. Everyone needs love, so just reminding them they are loved gives me a little peace. I definitely can't control their response but I have found that being true to myself and who I am lifts the feeling of helplessness a little. Prayers for you and your family!

I have never been tempted to contact the granddaughter because of the terrible stories I know my daughter made up about me. There are other relatives my grand daughter can contact if she truly wants to know anything about me. Everyone has a different situation and I feel that I have done my part by keeping silent.

That is tragic...truly tragic...the worst part is is that when we entrust our children to the Lord and are excited for their potential as they seek Him at Bible college and then they turn on the only ones on this great earth that will ever love them as they are. the enemy is on the prowl.

KittyKai what advise can you give that will bring peace in this situation. I don't want to be numb, I want to have peace and still feel, but feel differently.

I am also very sorry to hear that you had to bury your daughter...your deposit in Heaven...I am glad you have other children. I have three children and am amazed at how they perceived (so differently) their childhoods..
