A blessing and a bit of progress

First for my blessing.... my oldest son and his wife, whom we are very close with, are expecting their second child and we had gender reveal last night and we are having another grandson! This makes 5! We have enough for a basketball team now! And for the bit of progress....you know my ES is also having his second baby here in a month and there has been no communication with him by any of us. All of our texts (mine, my husbands, our sons, our daughter) have been ignored. Well last night our oldest son was excited so he texted his brother about the new baby, and our ES actually TEXTED HIM BACK! My son showed me this morning and there were even some pictures of our grandson. ES has not communicated with any of us since August so this is huge.

Praise the Lord for the new grandson you are expecting.

Praise God,also, for this progress with your sons having communication. God is always working in His way.

Although you are getting the news via your oldest son, this is such good news. I think that your ES will be influenced by your oldest son, and there is a much greater chance that your ES will come back into your life, as he seems to want to keep ties...at least with his brother.

In our case, our ES has decided to cut ties with ALL of us, including his sister and younger brother. The only text that my youngest son (not estranged) got from his estranged brother was on his birthday this past summer.

So happy that you got to see a photo of that dear little child, that you are missing so much. As parents of these estranged adult children...we take what we can get, and keep praying for some further breakthroughs...

We just keep praying...without ceasing. It's about all I can do for now....and so happy to see how God is answering your faithful prayers dear friend. I know He's working on my requests...He's been teaching me patience through it all.

Looks like all these grandsons of yours will be close in age...another blessing for possible future connections..

Yes I will take what I can get. Our ES was always very close to his older brother but had estranged from him as well as the rest of us. I pray it continues and maybe can trickle over onto us, his parents. I, too, pray without ceasing for God to prick his heart. Imagine the fun of five little boy cousins could have if only they could be together! I am thankful for the three I will get to see daily, and pray for the other two.
