Happy New Year to my friends and encouragers! I'm determined to make 2016 a better year than the last one, with or without my ES. I'm 64. I refuse to spend the last years of my life wallowing in pain and misery. I don't know how I would explain that to God when I meet Him. I think I have been guilty of making my "happy family" an idol. My joy was dependant for a long time on how well my family was doing because that was my validation in life. It would prove I'm worth loving. God doesn't feel that way about me. He loves me no matter what. I'm so very thankful for that. That is what validates me. My joy is supposed to come from Him and Him alone. All the love from family and friends is just icing on the cake.
I realize there are ups and downs, and tomorrow I may be tempted to write something a little different on here, but this is my goal for this new year. I wish every one of you a happy in the Lord new year.
