Thank you for the encouraging words. I know what you mean. I read posts here but sometimes just don't have the strength to make a comment even though I pray for us on this site. Some days I can't get on the computer at all. I'm looking for Jesus too, any day now.

Yes, these days around Christmas have been the most difficult of all. We celebrated our Savior's birth but I am so tired and weary that I can't do much of anything. I want to be better for DH's sake but this is so new to me that I can hardly get out of bed. Seems like this can and does last a long time. But it helps so much to be here with others who understand.

This is my very first post. I always feel like I have a prosthetic limb....some body part that is not fully functional. I have found it so very hard at work as everyone asks me if our daughters were home for Christmas. One of our daughters does come home, but my other daughter has not been home in years. I sometimes tell co-workers what my ED is doing as I hear about it through other people. It hurts. It always hurts. All I want to say, is that I am so sorry you are all hurting. We put our faith in the Lord, but that doesn't mean we don't hurt. I will pray that the Lord will bind up our wounds and give us peace. This peace only comes from our Saviour.

ivy, We welcome you here. We are thankful you found us. Please come often to post or just read. We want to be a blessing to you.

Yes We are always hurt and stressful when others ask about our EC. It is so difficult to know how to respond when asked. I am asked often because our ED was always up front in our church. Now I am more prepared. I often simply answer "Still In the need of prayer" to those who are believers. To others, I may just quickly turn the subject. We really do not owe anyone an explanation.

ivy I know how you feel. Its hard to talk to anybody, because I feel like I am being judged. I don't want to carry the pain around inside of me, because I know God does not want that. I come here when I need to and get sound biblical advice. Which I can never get enough of. Its been hills and valleys. I am in the valley right now. Keep coming for encouragement.

Welcome Ivykaren! I know how you feel about people asking. If I can't honestly gush on and on about our kids I feel judged by the person asking. Glad you're here!

Lindajoan - I've been trying to think of a short way to give an update! In a nutshell, all three of our ECs got engaged in 2015 to people we had never met. One just got married. So the adding of significant others has really compounded the complexity of our relationships. All the ECs now have somebody (and that person's family) who only knows their side of the story. We have another wedding in 3 months. The last one was internally a nightmare for me, but I didn't breakdown at all thankfully.
We like 2 of the significant others and one we do not like at all, thus our ED has shut us out again, but she had barely been communicating anyhow since she probably knew we wouldn't approve, he's not a believer.
Our ECs throw us crumbs now and then, depending on how much they want from us - recently it has been "participation" in their weddings, = $$$. Typical pattern for them.
Well, there are always so many details to all of this stuff, I could go on and on. Mostly I'm just going ahead one day at a time.

I also totally understand about being at a loss for words.

Last month marked a year since everything came to a head and I thank the Lord for all of you here!!! This forum has been such a blessing and is a God send. I appreciate all of you so much!
