I keep trying to tell myself not to worry. But, today so much hit me that made me realize that worse things than I ever used to worry about have happened. I would have never imagined the things our ECs are doing right now they would do, and I used to worry about far smaller things. Had I known all of this I don't know if I could have managed back then. That just plays games with my mind because it makes me realize that far worse things could be in store in the future. And, of course, far worse things could be going on right now that we don't know about and will find out shortly. When I try to tell myself not to worry "it isn't so bad", right now my logical side is telling me it is far worse than I know.
Every once in a while we get a glimpse into our ECs lives and it is never good news. All 3! I feel like we are on the path to being some tragic tv movie. I have the kind of brain that doesn't do well with surprises any more. Not even good surprises, and definitely not bad surprises. So I subconsciously try to prepare myself for the worst case scenario so it doesn't derail me when it happens. Problem is, it is always worse than I even can guess ahead of time. This has been so paralyzing to me lately. I know that is no way to live. Two of our ECs rarely get in touch with us (once or twice a year) the other so bombarded us with accusations last year that we had to step back. I am in such a weird place of not wanting to hear from any of them now because all they bring us is heartache and I crave some peace of mind so badly. Just hearing from them is no longer good news - I'd like actual good news from them. In this age of 10 different ways to get ahold of anybody any time of day I am torn between having 2 that won't lift a finger and 1 that will find every avenue possible to get to us just to yell at us. This is all way too complicated for me. I found myself envying somebody in the witness protection program the other day.
I don't know what I'm hoping for here. Just a way and a place to vent. I know the Lord is in control ultimately. Love and blessings to you all.

gordos - thank you so much for your very kind and generous offer! I am not Catholic but I definitely believe that the Lord gives His angels charge over us protecting and ministering to us. That is a very great comfort - thank you for reminding me! I don't know what a chaplet rosary is (!) but my mom gave me a little angel ornament for Christmas so I will put it out to remind me of the Lord's constant protection and also to remind me to pray. I wish somehow we all knew each other in person! The isolation of this all is difficult but I am so glad at least that I have found you all here. Love and blessings ((((hugs))))

I also have a 3x5 note card with verses and a couple of quotes that have helped me this past year. They are all written in tiny writing just for me to know. I keep this on my bedside table or at my desk. I take it with me if I travel. I have a little space left and with add these two verses to it. Thank you!!
