It's been a while since I've been on here. Not much has changed with my ES. I did finally go try to sit down and talk to him face to face. It went better than I expected. The following day was his birthday, so I called him to wish him a Happy Birthday. We talked nicely for a while and then, he aid he had to go. I told him I loved him and he told me he loved me, too. Within 10 minutes, I got a note from his grandmother on Facebook. It said this: " I just want to say that u have hurt me for the last time.did u not think I would not see what u wrote about stepdads and what u said about your husband being a better dad than his on daddy.How could u ? I don't want to have anything else to do with u don't call or come to my house.I have not showed this to Him I will not show it to him if he sees that he would never have anything to do with u.All I have got to say is u better not ever hurt him like u have me."
To explain this, you have to understand that she went back through every post and comment I had ever made on Facebook to find this comment I had made over 6 months prior. She also lied. She did show it to him or at least told him ( because I deleted it and blocked her) because he once again cut me out of his life. After about a month I sent a text to her and him stating that I was sorry for anything I had ever said or done to hurt them. My son called me about two months ago out of the blue and said "just wanted to say hey....haven't heard from you in a while." Wait! What?!? I had tried to call and text him numerous times with no response.
Anyway, I just told him that I was respecting his wishes and not trying to push him. We had a nice conversation and then it's been quiet until last weekend. My hubby and I had our first date night in two years! We were at the movies watching "God's Not Dead". It was almost over and I get a text from him saying "call me when u get a chance." I immediately responded saying the movie was almost over and I would call him ASAP. As soon as it was over (less than 20 mins) I tried to call...many times and text. Then, I tried to call over the next few days. It would always ring once and then go straight to vm. Ugh!!! I'm so confused!!!
So, I quit trying once again. Guess I wasn't quick enough to respond to my ES's text.

As far as people not responding immediately to your topic goes please forgive us as you want your son to forgive you for pretty much the same issue - except like feelinghelpless above said, most of us were sleeping. But, hang in there, there are a few restless sleepers that may jump on if they can't sleep. I'm on the east coast and in bed normally nor later than 8:00. Time zones are a big factor in people getting on the NET. Also, this tends to be the slow phase after the holidays along with some people in the south busy starting their gardens. So, there are a variety of reasons why it may take longer for people to respond to a topic.
