CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
So sorry to hear of the abysmal treatment you received by your ED.
Can you find it within yourself to just give it some time and walk away for awhile; or stand there and say hit me again!
Yes, Jesus told us to turn the other cheek ... but I doubt He meant this abuse toward a Mother from a daughter.
I will pray for the Lord to give you His wisdom, peace and strength.
And pray for your daughter to get right with God; because she cannot be, behaving like this.
God bless you.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Addiction of any sort is so hard to treat. The addict has to face whatever pain they are in and most do not want that. The drug keeps them in a place of denial and until they are able to hit rock bottom its a losing battle. I know about this with my son. For me, I had to let it go and let him come to the end of himself.
You've done alot, you've care, you spent money, time, sacrifice, etc...she has not. Sometimes we just have to "wash our hands" and let God watch over her. Many times I have prayed that God would bring other Christians into my son's path. And He has. But my son is too full of himself to listen and learn. And at present, he is in alot of trouble due to his choices.
We are here for you, keep venting, keep posting. Its all going to be ok. We have a mighty God who is there for us always!
Hugs to you,
Pearl
Have you thought of Skyping the next time instead of putting yourself through all that for nothing?
Will keep you BOTH in our prayers. You need prayer right now too.
I have learned to let go, and let God. Yes, that's an old, and sometimes irritating statement. But I have found that when I stop and pray and cease worrying, that I feel so much better. My striving to fix problems turns into calmness.
I am praying for you to feel much, much better.
