Dear Kathy, I will earnestly pray for you and I pray that you have a Christian counselor who has experience with estrangement and grief counseling to see you through this bout of depression. I wish that I could say this too will pass but I haven't the knowledge to do so. The only option that I have is to pray that there are supports to see you through this period such as your DH, understanding friends and good medical personnel. Try to keep in touch. God bless you.

This journey is so very difficult. It is as we are grieving the death of our loved one. The difference is this death does not have closure. It does not make sense and if we try to make sense out of it we wear ourselves out. It is an exhausting journey that can lead to physical illness and depression.

Please be good to yourself Kathy. Guilt is not of The Lord. It is from the enemy. You did not cause this estrangement and only God can fix it The important thing is your well being. I hope your counselor is a Christian. A grief counselor would be appropriate. Sometimes the most we can do is get
up and take a small step. Please take one day at a time. Jesus will
never fail you. We are here for you. We will
pray for you.

Kathy i am so sorry you are feeling this way. I am in therapy 1 1/2 yrs and honestly it has helped. I use to feel guilty and didnt want people mad,talk bad,worry what people thought bout me.Due to EC,trying to buy love from them.I am not saying iam cured but the symptomshave eased up.I use to wake in night crying,before my feet would hit the floor in morning,for no reasons i would breakdown.I feel so bad for you cause the pain is unbearable.I still have bad days but not as often my husband knows when i am going to have a bad day he can tell when i get up.I am on medications daily and see thearapist every 3 months.And my husband thought many times he was going to have to take me to hospital due to my breakdowns.My thoughts are with you and my prayers

Praying for you - St. John's Wort has helped me, but time and prayer have been my best healers.

Kathy, my heart just breaks for you. I pray and pray for you and for your health. Do you have a support system of friends or relatives. Seeing a grief counselor will probably help you. We all need some one where we can let it all out. I am glad you have turned to us. Being a new member I already see and feel the love and concern from so many people. We love you and want the best for you. Don't blames yourself, I've been trying to figure out what happened and I have no idea. In my heart I know that it is not our fault - we have all tried to be the best parents possible but something has happened to our EC hearts and brains. I pray that you EC sees the right way and turns to God. I pray that for all of us. We are here for you and praying.

Kathy, I have also battled depression for along time and continue to struggle. Ask God for strength daily and praise the Lord often. He will never abandon you. He knows what it is to suffer and he will help us all through this. I will continue to pray for you and all who are here suffering.

I am praying for you. This journey is most difficult, but put your trust in the Lord and he will see you through it. A Christian counselor may be able to help you as that has helped me in dealing with depression and anxiety. It has also helped me to read the various post from this group and understand I am not alone in my feelings. Please take care of yourself.

I think we all come in through the doors here feeling pretty depressed but when depression keeps you from having a normal life then you need to talk to a real person - most preferably a Christian counselor. They truly can help you. Even talking to your pastor is taking steps to move out of the black hole where you are now.

I've found that reading Psalms is the best way to achieve peace. I don't understand it, but there is power in the Word of God.

A slight bit better with new med past 2 nights. MD also told hubby to keep me out the bed. Still think constantly about my two ED and want to see my grandson so much. I know we all have this terrible silence that haunts constantly. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers... I still need then!

kathy....please try walking. Start small and increase the distance just a little bit every day. If there is a park nearby go there. There is just something about walking and fresh air that is invigorating.
