REAL, NOT COUNTERFEIT FAITH

Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see. It was their faith that made our ancestors pleasing to God. Because of our faith, we know that...what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen.
– Hebrews 11:1–3 (CEV)

How important is faith to God? Hebrews 11:2 tells us that faith made the great men and women of the Old Testament pleasing to God. In fact, verse 6 says that without faith no one can please God (CEV).

All of the people listed in the eleventh chapter of Hebrews—Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David and Samuel—did great works for God by faith.

However, there is a counterfeit faith that I call mental assent. Mentally agreeing that it is possible for God to heal is very different from believing that God WILL heal you today. We need to know the difference!

Discovering how to use your faith is one of the biggest challenges you will face. No one else can activate your faith for you. When Jesus healed people, He often said something like, “According to YOUR faith let it be done to you.” As it is with all of us, there are several things you are not experiencing in life because you are not in faith in that area.

We can’t simply pat each other on the back saying it’s going to be okay when God has so much more for us than what we are living. We need to encourage and provoke each other to stand up and speak to the mountains that try to take us out.

Refuse to be satisfied with mental assent when you can have real faith that moves mountains.

Examples of "speaking to the mountain" confessions (Taken from "God's Creative Power for Healing":

Jesus bore my sins in His Body on the tree; therefore I am dead to sin and alive to unto God and by His stripes I am healed and made whole. (1 Peter 2:24; Rom. 6:11, 2 Cor. 5:21.)

Jesus bore my sickness and carried by pain. Therefore I give no place to sickness or pain. For God sent His Word and healed me. (Psalm 107:20)

Father, because of Your Word I am an overcomer. I overcome the world, the flesh and the devil, by the blood of the lamb and the word of my testimony. (1 John 4:4, Rev. 12:11.)

You have given me abundant life. I receive that life through Your Word it flows to every organ of my body bringing healing and health. (John 10:10; John 6:63)

Heavenly Father, I attend to Your Word. I incline my ears to Your sayings. I will not let them depart from my eyes. I keep them in the midst of my heart, for they are life and healing to all my flesh. (Prov. 4:20-22)
As God was with Moses, so He is with me. My eyes are not dim; neither my natural forces abated. Blessed are my eyes for they see and my ears, for they hear. (Deut. 34:7)

No evil will befall me, neither shall any plague come near my dwelling. For you have given your angels charge over me. They keep me in all my ways. In my pathway is life, healing and health. (Psalm 91:10,11; Prov. 12:28.)

Jesus took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses. Therefore I refuse to allow sickness to dominate my body. The life of God flows within me bringing healing to every fiber of my being. (Matt. 8:17; John 6:63.)

I am redeemed from the curse. Galatians 3:13 is flowing in my blood stream. It flows to every cell of my body, restoring life and health. (Mark 11:23; Luke 17:6.)

The life of First Peter 2:24 is a reality in my flesh, restoring every cell of my body.

I present my body to God for it is the temple of the LIVING GOD. God dwells in me and HIS LIFE permeates my SPIRIT, SOUL, and BODY so that I am filled the fullness of God daily (Rom. 12:1,2; John 14:20.) END

I often speak these and many other confessions over myself to activate my mind, imagination, and faith for believing the right things.

Thank you as I will be copying and printing out and it is rightly so to read this ,even memorize several times through out the day because according to 1 Peter 5:8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
We must always speak affirmations such as the ones that you presented over ourselves to protect ourselves ( armor of God)
