Christian overcomers Community Group
This is a Christian Group for people that are seeking healing or overcoming challenges through Biblical advice. Our key verse is 3 John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

For anyone here that isn't familiar with my story, I'd like to take a moment to tell you a bit more about me, and my journey.
I grew up in the church. My family never missed a Sunday, and we went to Sunday school as well as church. Wednesday nights I went to a Christian club called AWANA in grade school, and later as a teen I went to Youth group. In the summers I enjoyed Vacation Bible School from age 5 to maybe 9, and then I started attending week long church camps off in the mountains away from society. I was also enrolled in a Christian School from grade 7-12.
So being exposed to all of that, I learned the basics of Christianity during my formative years. I knew that Jesus died and paid for my sins, and I knew that I wanted to have a close personal relationship with Him, and live a life that pleased Him. However, I also learned a lot legalism, and that caused a lot of fear in my life. I never felt like I was ever good enough, and I always questioned my salvation, thinking that if I ever left a sin unconfessed, that I would go to hell.
Fast forward to my late thirties, and I became very ill in 2012. I was running a successful preschool out of my house at the time, and I ended up having to shut that down. I planned to close only for a short period of time to regain my health, and then resume as normal. That did happen, but it was short lived, and I had a relaspe. This actually happend a few times before I finally gave up my childcare license and sold off a great portion of my preschool supplies. (I stil save a lot things for future grandchildren).
At the time, I had not been exposed to the Full Gospel message, that Jesus not only paid the price for our sins, but He took every curse in His' body on the tree. Jesus took the curse of sickness and poverty as well. He shed His blood to pay for sin, but His body was crushed, bruised, and whipped for our healing.
I finally heard this truth about all that Jesus came to give us in 2015 when my brother-in-law introduced me to Andrew Wommack and Joseph Prince. I fianlly heard the real message of grace, and that all of my sins were paid for: past, present, and future.
So now that I knew about healing, and that Jesus paid for me to have it. I had to begin to renew my mind to the truth, so that I could recieve it. At that time I was completely bedridden with the exception of using the bathroom. My husband even brought my meals to me, meager as they were, because food at the time was repulsive. I lived on protein shakes with fresh fruit mixed in the blender. And even though it was in liquid form, I still had to force that down.
I was sick in both my body and my mind, and the anxiety was almost unbearable at times. I would have panic attacks and adrenaline rushes in my sleep. Waking hours were often spent in a dark, quiet room, alone doing breathing exercises to try to ward off the panic attacks. My body was very weak, and I was losing weight rapidly. I was basically just waisitng away.
In trying to keep this somewhat brief, I won't go into great detail. But once I heard and understood that healing is part of my covenant, I began planting healing Scriptures in my heart, speaking to my body and telling it to be well, and stepping out in faith to do things that were not possible before.
I still have a very long way to go before you could call me healed, but I have come a very long way. I am now well enough to care for my 2 month old grandson, and I even mowed the lawn this summer. I still don't leave the house much, even before the pandemic hit, other than to take walks, because I can still get overwhelmed or overstimulated very easily, the anxiety is still an issue, but it's so much better. I am on the road to healing in every way.
I just want everyone to know that Jesus wants us all to have the abundant life He came to give us. If you are suffering, please know it's not from God. Believing that God is the cause of our problems keeps us in bondage, and that's exactly what Satan wants. He came to the earth to steal, kill, and destroy from all of God's creation, but Jesus came to give us all an abundant life (John 10:10).
I am so happy to have heard the truth when I did, or I may not be here anymore. My husband even told me after I started to recover, that he was worried he was going to lose me.
Now I have a passion to share with others how they can get healed, because I wouldn't wish physical sickness, or mental illness on anyone. I want everyone to know we don't have to live in bondage.
God bless,
Healthseeker/Lynette
