Mark 11:24

The Target:  Mark 11:24 (KJV)

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Set Your Sights:
There are two points in time in this verse that are very important: in the present you believe, and in the future you receive. Many people become discouraged when they pray and don’t see an immediate change. They pray and then the first thing they do is check to see if anything happened. When nothing appeared to change, they say, “Oh, well. It didn’t work. I’ll try again later.” They are basing their believing on whether or not they have received, but that’s backwards. You have to believe and then receive, not receive and then believe.

When the “ye shall have them” comes to pass is different for everyone. You may believe and receive right away, or it may take a while for what you believe to become a reality. But the key to receiving is believing before you see it, just like 2 Corinthians 5:7 says: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” So when you pray, if you will believe that you’ve received, and then walk in faith in the absence of any outward change, you will see what you’re believing for manifest. Believing first. Receiving second.

Hit Your Mark:

Standing in faith and continuing to believe is sometimes one of the hardest things to do on your healing journey, until you truly believe that you already have what you prayed for, regardless of what you see or feel. When you believe you have it, that you’re already healed, there is no more waiting. There is no more watching for change. There is no more wondering when it will happen. When you truly believe, what you see and feel no longer affects you because you know it is finished.

Holy Cow!!!! The Holy Spirit is Potent this Morn!!!!!. I was just having this conversation with MYSELF yesterday, You are the second person that spoke these words which is definite confirmation that the Lord wants me to not be fearful to Proclaim the Kingdom of God, Peace unto You. Blessings to you and I bid Strength to the Protectors of the Faith- Abundant Joy to All. I believe that the Lord is beckoning some today to not be fearful t step into their Purpose. Thankful and Grateful for the post.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
I once had a hope that there was more to the world than what I could see or had known. This hope became faith when my best friend was born again and his life changed before my eyes. He told me the difference was Christ had come into his life, and so I believed on Jesus. Faith comes by hearing, right. Every instance of faith in Hebrews 11 was predicated by God speaking to the person. The result of my faith in Christ immediately allowed me to see the world in a much different way. There was now light and beauty in the world that I could not see before. I was in a meeting one morning and during the worship service I was praying and asked God to remove the scales from my eyes. Immediately the worship leader stopped playing the keyboard, stood up called my name and told me that God wanted to remove the scales from my eyes. He instructed me to take my hands and wipe my eyes, which I did, and what I saw was my spirit, full of light rejoicing and dancing! For if a man see, why does he yet hope for it. This moment I transitioned from a hope to a knowing that cannot be shaken. I have never been the same. In the natural world our eyes only see by light, and without light we cannot see anything. So it is in the spirit. By faith in Christ we no longer hope for eternal life (light), but we know we have been translated out of darkness and have received life (light). It is this born again spirit (light) by which we can now see and discern the things of the spirit of God. Now behold (look upon, see) Jesus, see and know all that He has already made you as a child of God. Our souls at times resist receiving due to the programming we received before being born again, but God's truth is that God is light and in him is no darkness at all, therefore YOU having received the spirit of God are light and in YOU is no darkness at all. Discipline your mind to submit to God's Truth SIN HAS NO DOMINION OVER YOU! Neither do the cohorts of sin sickness, disease, poverty, sadness. If you have been born of the light, then you will produce the fruits of righteousness and not the fruits of unrighteousness.

Thanks Irish! I think Romans 12:2 sums up your comment. We already have everything in Christ, but we have to renew our minds/souls to the truth by hearing/reading it over and over, which will produce faith. Thanks again!
