Christian overcomers Community Group
This is a Christian Group for people that are seeking healing or overcoming challenges through Biblical advice. Our key verse is 3 John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

To answer your question, I would refer you to Mark chapter 4, where Jesus talked about the parable of the sower/Farmer. I would encourage you to read the whole chapter, but the gist of it is that God's Word is seed, and our hearts are the ground. The parable talks about various reasons why the seed didn't produce a harvest, and ends in verse 20 which says, " And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!” (NLT)
So to activate the power of the seed principle, we must be hearing God's Word and reading God's Word, in order to get it planted it in our hearts. Then after hearing it, we must accept what we read or hear as truth, and believe it, that's when it will take root, and it will produce a harvest in our lives.
I will just add Romans 10:16-17 (NLT)
"16 But not everyone welcomes the Good News, for Isaiah the prophet said, “Lord, who has believed our message?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ."
We first have to hear or read the message, and then we have to believe it. That's how we activate the seed.
So I also read the conception in your heart posts. Could we say then that according to Mark chapter 4 the word of God is sown and if it is sown on good ground then a plant could begin to grow? I would also note that the work does not necessarily end there. Perhaps there are other plants that are already grown. What of these? Also plants need sun light and water, cultivating, tending to to get them to bear fruit. Thoughts?
I believe prayer is one way we can "water" the plant/seed. We can also get "weeds" out of our life: things such as wrong or immoral t.v., hanging out with bad association, listening to wrong music, etc. I was always told growing up that who you associate with is who you become, and that includes everything you put in your mind, whether it be books, music, movies, friends, anything and everything we expose our minds to can either plant a weed, or plant a seed. And likewise getting those things out of our lives would be like pulling out the weeds.
As for the light, Jesus is referred as the light in Scripture many times, so we need to expose ourselves to Jesus. We can do that through worship and praise. I believe God is with us all the time, but sometimes we get into praise and worship we can feel His manifested presence, and I think that is exposing ourselves to the light.
I hope that answers your question.
