Christian overcomers Community Group
This is a Christian Group for people that are seeking healing or overcoming challenges through Biblical advice. Our key verse is 3 John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

How Do You See Yourself?
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
Proverbs 23:7
The Bible says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” This means that how you see yourself determines your physical health. So how do you see yourself in the midst of your symptoms, or after hearing your doctor’s negative report?
Beloved, the truth is that through Jesus’ finished work at the cross, you are completely righteous and completely redeemed from every curse of sickness (see Gal. 3:13 NIV). You are God’s beloved child for whom Jesus did a complete work to save, heal, and deliver.
So don’t see yourself as the sick trying to get healed. You are the healed, righteous, and beloved child of God facing some symptoms. Be of good cheer! There is no disease or condition that is greater than the perfect, finished work Jesus has accomplished for you. Declare what you’ve been made in Christ and see your body manifest this truth! (This devotional is from a little book called "Healing Promises")
In 2016 I was watching a "Healing Is Here" Conference. They talked a lot about how we see ourselves. When we imagine our futures, how do we see it? Do we see ourselves sick, or do we see ourselves well. I hadn't really realized that I always pictured myself sick, and whenever I have a symptom in my body, I always imagine the worst. I have learned so much since then, and I am training my mind to see my sickness on Jesus' body, and His health in mine. My healing process has been slow, but the more I learn and understand about healing, the more my faith builds, and the more I am seeing the healing manifest. Jesus paid the price for all to be well, the same as He paid the price for all to be saved (Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24). We just have to believe it and receive. Believe it, confess it, and act it out. It helps build my faith to watch healing testimonies. If any one is interested, I will leave a link below.

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

We have medical institutions, licensed doctors that give all kinds of diagnoses. What would you say to a person that says,"I do not believe in disease,I dont believe in Cancer,I dont believe in any physical attacks against the body. What would you say to a person that says those things are simply a lack there of -‘As above, so below; as below, so above’. This means that there is ‘harmony, agreement and correspondence’ between the physical, mental and spiritual realms. Meaning what is created in one effects the other. The energy you create while on earth (below) automatically projects upwards (above) which is then returned to you (As above, so below). You create energy with your emotions, feelings, thoughts, desires and impulses.
And when you choose to experience such things, you send out an energetic signal that attracts the same energy back to you. The energy you attract matches the energy of your emotions, feelings, thoughts, desires and impulses.
What are your thoughts ?
I believe the same is true of healing that Jesus paid for every person to be well, but the church as a whole does not teach or preach that Jesus died for our healing, they only teach that Jesus died for our sins. If you don't believe that Jesus paid for your healing, then it's harder to believe your body will be healed supernaturally. People beg and plead for God to heal them, but they don't believe He already has, and that it is a finished work like salvation is. Faith is required for all of God's blessings to manifest in our lives. God's part is grace, and our part if faith. God has provided the grace already, but we have to believe it in order to receive it. If you study the Gospels, you can see that Jesus often told people their faith healed them. It wasn't their faith alone, it was God's healing power, but it was their faith that made the healing power manifest in their bodies. At other times it was people's unbelief that hindered miracles from happening, as was the case in Jesus home town, He could do no mighty works there because of their unbelief. Did that mean that Jesus power wad different in his home town? No, Jesus was the same, it was the people's unbelief that was different. Jesus was impressed when people had faith, and disappointed when people were in unbelief. I believe people can be in faith an unbelief at the same time, and our unbelief can negate our faith, but I also believe that if we have pure faith that Jesus has paid for our healing, and it is rightfully ours, then the healing will manifest in our bodies. The more I believe from the heart in pure faith that my body is healed, the more it manifests in the natural realm.
That is actually the short answer to that question, but I hope it made sense and it was helpful. God bless!
Mark 9:23-25 New King James Version (NKJV)
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”
This is a great story in scripture. It is about a father whose son was possessed by a negative spirit. The Spirit made the boy flop around, foam at the mouth, and very strange things like this. The father had asked Jesus's disciples to help him. But, they were unable to do so.
Then, Jesus spoke up: "IF you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
IF you CAN believe, ALL things are possible...
The man answered: "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief."
The man admitted to Jesus that he wanted to believe...but, some small part of him was unsure.
And, Jesus was able to expel the spirit.
And, the fact that "by his stripes, we are healed." I believe a little differently.
Isaiah 53:5 New King James Version (NKJV)
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
Read this in context. Don't pull out just the last few words. I believe this scripture has been misinterpreted. For me, the first of the scripture is VERY important.
He was wounded for our transgression,
He was bruised for our iniquties,
He was ripped, treated bad, crucified for our sins. We expirence healing when we accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour. We are more than healed by his stripes.
I have many health issues I am dealing with. And, I believe God has allowed me these issues because I can relate to others and give him glory when he brings me through "near death" experiences. Not because I have strength to make it through these medical issues...but, because I can do it with his help.
John 16:33 New King James Version (NKJV)
33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
In this scripture, Jesus says in this world we will experience troubles, disease, issues.
But, in the end, he has promised us everlasting life with no tears, no pain, no problems. But, until then, we are "in the world," but not of it!!
And, because HE lives, I can face tomorrow.
This is how I see myself ... an instrument God uses!!
You are correct that the man that had a son with a demon did have unbelief, but Jesus explained that it was the unbelief on the part of the disciples as the reason the demon could not be cast out. The account is also mentioned in Matthew 17:14-16. Let's take a look at verse 17 (NLT) "Jesus said, 'You faithless and corrupt people. How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me."Jesus was angry with his disciples for not having belief. The man had to have some belief, or he would not have brought the boy to the disciples to heal him in the first place. Jesus was not angry with the man for not having pure faith, He was talking about the disciples. In verse 18 Jesus healed the boy, and in verse 19 the disciples asked why they couldn't cast out the demon. Jesus told them in verse 20 KJV) "And Jesus said unto them, BECAUSE of your UNBELIEF: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain , Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."
You are also correct about John 16:33 telling us we will have many trials and tribulations. Our lives will not be problem free because we live in a fallen world. Sickness will happen, as well as many other awful things. We are not promised a problem free life.
Jesus gave the great commission to his disciples in Mark 16:15-19 He told them to go into all of the world preaching and teaching the Gospel. Verse 17 (NLT) says, "These miraculous signs will accompany THOSE THAT BELIEVE: They will cast out demons in my name....verse 18 "They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will recover." Most churches and ministries do not teach this, so it doesn't happen in those churches, it says, "THOSE THAT BELIEVE will be able to do these things.
If you study church history, there was never a time period where these miracles didn't happen, but it only happens for those that believe it. I would encourage you to look up Smith Wigglesworth and John G. Lake that had huge healing ministries in the late 1800 and early 1900s. They saw almost every person healed that they prayed for. Katherine Kuhlman was another one in the mid 1900s. And today we still have many healing ministries that see miracles happen consistently. The above videos I posted are proof of that in this day and time.
As I said, you are welcome to your opinion Mary. I have multiple illnesses as well, but the more I believe for healing, the more it is manifesting in my body. I went from being completely bed ridden and not being able be around any people to being able to go out walking in my neighborhood, do a bit of cleaning around the house, and now I am out driving. I have a long way to go, but healing is happening.
My main goal with this group is to teach others about healing, and how to make it manifest. Thank you for your opinions and comments. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs, and I respect you, and yours. God bless!
This is a great lesson that is often misunderstood. If we all saw others as perfect, including ourselves there would be no more wars! imho
God Bless
