Session 1 Notes:

Healing is here, because the Kingdom of God is here.

Matthew 11:4-5 “…Go tell John the things which you hear and see; (5) the blind see, and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.”

Jesus is the answer to all of our problems, never the source of them.  He is our healer.  Satan is the deceiver, many are sick today because of deception, that is his only weapon.  But the truth shall set you free. 

Revelation 12:10-11 “…NOW is come salvation and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ, for the accuser of the brethren is cast down, which accused them before God day and night. (11) and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and the word of their testimony…”

We need to know what Jesus did on the cross for us, and be prepared to SAY what Jesus did, because it the knowledge of the cross mixed with our words and our testimony that overcome the accuser. 

Facts are what is going on in the natural, and truth is what God’s Word says.  Facts are not inspiring, but truth is.  It doesn’t take faith to believe facts, but it does take faith to believe the truth.  When you know the truth, it sets you free.

Anytime you turn to look at an option besides God’s truth, it won’t set you free.  We will become double minded and unstable.  God’s Word is truth. We have to stand on that truth.  We don’t have to make God’s Word be true, it is already true. 

For example, we tend to collect and look at our experiences and we get disappointed.  Because hope deferred makes the heart sick.  If we have believed God, but haven’t seen the manifestation.  Or if we have been sick for a long period of time, we start to see sickness as our identity.  It gets engrained in us, and we start to get sick in our thinking.  That affects our faith, because of our negative experiences.  Then we start to struggle to believe what we used to. 

People say that they have had people pray over them a hundred times, and they question why they are not healed.  What we are doing is taking God’s Word and measuring it with our experience.  We check our bodies to see how we are doing, to see if we are healed.  NO!!!  What we should be doing is checking the Word of God, and TELLING our bodies what the TRUTH says. 

The world says, “Listen to your body, because your body will tell you how you are doing.”  NO!!!  The Word of God says, SPEAK to your body, and listen to the HOLY GHOST.  The Holy Ghost will give you something that will be transformational. 

Referring back to Revelation 12:10, NOW salvation and power have come, and there’s authority in Christ.  We don’t have to be week, and sick, and poor, and defeated believers.  The fact that we are believers changes everything. 

Sickness is a fruit of the enemy.  It can consume our whole lives and be relentless.  It won’t be satisfied with just taking over our body.  If you are chronically sick, you know it affects every single part of your life.  It will make you look inward.  Like an angry toddler, it wants all of our attention and all of our focus, so it will do whatever it can to suck the life out of you. 

But as we start to magnify the answer [Jesus] rather than the problem, the problem will begin to shrink.
