Christian overcomers Community Group
This is a Christian Group for people that are seeking healing or overcoming challenges through Biblical advice. Our key verse is 3 John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

Luke 5:12-13 “And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who was seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou can’t make me clean. (13) And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I WILL: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.”
Notice that Jesus never prayed for the sick, He HEALED them. He never had to ASK God what His will was concerning healing, He already knew. He only did His Father’s will. This is how we know that it is ALWAYS God’s will to heal.
It’s awkward if you don’t believe in healing, because Jesus had a healing ministry. Most of His work was going about doing good and healing ALL that were oppressed of the devil. (Acts 10:38)
Satan is the one that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. What does sickness do? It steals, kills, and destroys. And that’s how we can know that it is from the enemy.
But Jesus came to give us life MORE abundantly. A life free from sickness, disease, pain, and bondage. It starts by getting the WORD of God down on the inside of us, and mixing it with faith to believe for healing miracles.
Psalm 103:1-3 “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name, (2) Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not ALL of his benefits: (3) Who forgiveth all my thine iniquities; who healteh ALL thy diseases;”
God hasn’t changed His mind. Jesus was the fulfillment of God’s plan for us. He always had a plan for healing us. Isaiah prophesied about Jesus healing the sick and raising the dead. (Isaiah 26:9; 34-4-6; chapter 61).
If we have seen Jesus we have seen the Father.
We are the temple of the Holy Ghost, and sickness should not live there.
We shouldn’t be o.k. with less than what Jesus provided. We shouldn’t settle for managing sickness. God’s Word is our medicine (Proverbs 4:20-22). Psalm 107:20 tells us He sent His Word and healed them.
Healing is part of the atonement. We tend to pick up the helmet of salvation, but we don’t realize that we get more than just the helmet; we get the full body armor, which includes healing.
Isaiah 53:4 tells us what the atonement paid for: “Surely he hath born our griefs and carried our sorrows…”
The Hebrew word for “sorrows” means: Pain, grief, or affliction
The word “grief” means: sickness, disease, anxiety, and fear.
Jesus bore all of that for us so that we could have PEACE. Isaiah 53:5 “…the chastisement for our PEACE was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
“Peace” is the Hebrew word “Shalom” which means: Rest, health, happiness, wholeness, prosperity, peace, safety, favor, and friendship. ALL those things. These are our benefits.
Jesus didn’t just pay for out ticket to Heaven, we got so much more.
Faith in Jesus qualifies us for forgiveness, so it also qualifies us for healing. We can’t do anything to qualify.
People often list all the things they’ve done to get healed: “I’ve bound, I’ve loosed, I’ve tarried, I’ve stayed, I’ve prayed, I’ve confessed.” And they go through the list. This is what they've done to qualify themselves, but you can’t earn healing.
Jesus through us can heal anything, because it is already a done deal. How do we receive it?
Everything we receive from God comes the same way. Faith is the currency of the Kingdom. All you have to do is believe. You access healing the exact same way you access salvation. Neither can be earned, they can only be believed and received.
What happened when we got born again? We really don’t realize how awesome we are. We are made in the image of God, and we have the DNA of Jesus living on the inside of us. We have the power to raise the dead, heal the sick, or cast out any devil in hell living on the inside of us NOW. That happened when we received Jesus. The very moment you received Jesus, the Kingdom of Heaven came to live on the inside of you. If we received Jesus, we received the healer. We don’t have to run around trying to find Him, He is living on the inside of us.
People often say that “By His Stripes we were healed” is only talking about spiritual healing, but Matthew 8:14-17 confirms that what is said in Isaiah is talking about physical healing.
"When Jesus arrived at Peter's house, Peter's mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. (15) But when Jesus touched her hand, the fever lefther. Then she got up and prepared a meal for him. (16) That evening many demon-possed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out teh evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed ALL the were SICK. (17) THIS fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, 'He took our SICKNESSES, and romoved our DISEASES.'"
Luke 5:17 in the KJV tells us “…the power of the Lord was present to heal them.” The word “present” is italicized because it wasn’t in the original Greek. It should read, “The power of God is to heal.” That’s what God’s power is for, healing. That's what Jesus used it for (Acts 10:38)
Matthew 10:7-8 “And go and preach saying, The Kingdom of heaven is at hand. (8) Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.”
The Kingdom is here, so healing is here.
I will just add some things they didn’t mention: Luke 16:17-18 “These miracles will accompany those that believe: They will cast out demons in my name…They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”
God always wants us to be healed and well. Sickness was curse of the Mosaic Law, but we have been redeemed from that curse (Galatians 3:13). Jesus took all curses, sin, sickness, pain, and poverty on His body on the tree. "But Christ rescued us from the curse pronouced by the law. When he hung on the cross, he took the curse for our wrong doing..."
