Christian overcomers Community Group
This is a Christian Group for people that are seeking healing or overcoming challenges through Biblical advice. Our key verse is 3 John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

Excerpts from "The 'Unhealed' Beleiver: What to do when You've Done it All"
In the introduction Teresa tells us why she wrote the book. She says, “I’m sharing how I received revelation on healing so you can get your own revelation: the revelation you need.”
Skip ahead to chapter 6 and she says, “A lack of revelation is why for years I quoted the Scriptures and nothing happened…
A lack of revelation left me believing that I was waiting on God to heal me, when in fact He had healed me two thousand years ago on the cross and was waiting for me to receive it.
Revelation is the harness that produces unwavering confidence and faith in the face of any circumstance.
In chapter 10 Teresa shares part of her testimony. She says, “I was home sick, listening to a teaching,… and Andrew said, “The reason we don’t get healed is because our physical body is more real to us than our spirit man. And if we can just get to the point where we believe more what is true in the spiritual than we do what is true in the natural—not denying the physical, but believing that the spirit is stronger than the physical, the spirit is the parent realm, the superior realm—if we’ll believe that, what’s true in the spiritual will become true in the physical.”
Later in the chapter Teresa says that God helped her understand the spirit vs. the flesh, or her physical body vs. her spirit. She says:
“I was standing at the sink one night washing dishes, the water running over my hands, when I looked down and realized I couldn’t feel my physical body any more. I could see that I was still washing the dish I was holding, but I couldn’t feel the dish in my hands. The best way to describe it is an out-of-body experience, but my spirit never left my body. It was like seeing myself from the inside out. In that moment, Father told me He was allowing me to experience the separation between my spirit and my flesh. For a brief instant, I was totally in my spirit, and my flesh became nothing. Then a moment later, I was back washing dishes again. Just like that.
….The truth was revealed. I am a spirit, and the spirit is the true me. The real me.
Skip ahead to chapter 12. Teresa was battling a respiratory sickness. It was Christmas time and they were driving to see family. Teresa says:
“We were driving one night on a four-day journey to Georgia, and God showed me something tangible that solidified what I was already beginning to believe about my healing…I was staring out the car window, gazing at the beautiful crescent moon. As I looked at it, I heard Father saying His simple but profound way, ‘Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t there.’ It dawned on me that even though I could only see a small portion of the moon with my natural eyes, I knew beyond a shadow of doubt that it was all there. There was no doubt the moon was full, even though I couldn’t see it, and there was nothing you could say to me that would convince me otherwise. It is the truth.
The fact is: I couldn’t see the full moon with my natural eyes. The truth is: The full moon was still there. At that time, in my body, I was seeing no moon at all in reference to my healing. Not even a sliver. Actually, my healing looked like a pitch black, moonless night. I knew in my heart though, He was trying to help me understand that my healing was most definitely there regardless of what I was seeing— or not seeing— in my body.
I had heard from my Father, and the faith that came from hearing began to squash the unbelief my body had been causing. Faith is knowing you are healed even when your body tells you you’re not. Faith is putting more weight on what God’s Word says about your healing than what your body is screaming at you. Faith is believing it before you see it. Faith is knowing the moon is there, even when it has no illumination from the sun.
She went on to say that the Scriptures she had spoken and quoted for years became a reality to her, and after that when she spoke them, there was an authority behind them, and not just empty words. She ends the chapter by saying, “I was experiencing the authority that comes from revelation for the first time in my life.”
Anyway, that is when healing began to manifest in her body. Once she got a revelation that her spirit was the real her, and she was already healed in the spirit realm. She just needed to get to the point that she connected more with her spirit, than she did with her body. Just like the words she quoted from Andrew in chapter 10.
