Christian overcomers Community Group
This is a Christian Group for people that are seeking healing or overcoming challenges through Biblical advice. Our key verse is 3 John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

Highlights/notes form a Sermon: “Conception in Your Heart”
The sermons start out by asking the question, “How does faith come?” The answer is that comes by hearing. Romans 10:17 say, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (KJV)
Conception of faith in the heart is born out of hearing Gods’ Word.
James 1:13-15 “Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. (NKJV)
Sin gets born from a conception that takes place in your heart, and that is the negative side of conception.
Conception whether positive or negative takes place when we allow something into our heart and we give it place, we give it ground, we give it attention. In this case (James 1:13-15), the passage is talking about being enticed by our own evil desires, and when we think on evil things for too long, they are conceived in our hearts, and we give birth to a bouncing baby called sin. And sin, when it is fully developed, enters us into the death cycle, or in other words it leads to death and corruption in our lives.
Everything in our lives begins with conception. When something is conceived it is growing to grow. And if we allow it to grow, it’s going to be born.
If sin can be conceived, then healing can be conceived.
1 Peter 1:23 “having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,
The preacher says, “For those that have heard me teach, they know that I’m all about seeds. A seed in the agricultural world is the same concept as conception in the human world. It will germinate in the soil, and there will be a conception of the seed in the soil that is going to come forth.”
In 1 Peter 1:23, we know that the “incorruptible seed” is the Word of God (The Scriptures/The Bible). The Word carries within it the package of eternal life. But what does every seed need? It needs the soil. Every word of God needs a receptive heart. We get born again when we hear the Word of God, which is a seed, and a conception takes place in our heart (the soil).
Proverbs 4:23 “Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.” (NKJV)
So out of the soil of your heart spring the issues of life. Issues meaning, what happens is life is brought forth or sprung from what is in the soil of your heart. How did it get there? Seed was sown. Something was conceived in your heart, in order for something to spring forth out of it.
Matthew 15:19 “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.”
Of course this is the fruit or crop/harvest from negative things (seeds) that are sown into the heart. Out of our thoughts spring actions that got conceived.
Romans 10:8-10 “ But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (NKJV)
The Word in verse 8 is the seed, and the heart is the soil. Believing in verse 9 is the conception, and salvation in verse 10 is the crop/harvest
