nice song, I changed my first and middle names about 25 years ago. Starting in the first grade kids used my first name to hurt me. As I grew up the teasing got worse, till my first name was used as a cuss word. My mom would never let me use my middle name, Marie. When I was 19 and married and a mother, I finally decided to go by my middle name. I didn't legally change it for all those years because I couldn't think of a new middle name. I had a little girl who I named Danielle Marie, she went home to be with her Father only an hour after she was born. 45 years ago. After many, many years, God said it would be ok if I used Danielle as my new middle name. I legally changed my name to Marie Danielle. So what name is our Lord going to call me? That ugly name my mother gave me or my new one that I took for myself? I would like your input, please. God bless you all

God knows your name. If Marie is your name, then that's the one God knows you by!!! It's not important what name you or He uses....what's important is that He knows you and you know Him!!!

My Mom was very controlling and wanted to live her lost childhood through me . I was like her ragedy ann doll .She thought she could attain her happiness through me .But we know joy comes only from God . It hurt then but I must forgive and realize it is not her flesh but the devil who made me suffer and is making me suffer because now she has Alzheimer's

Marie...I'm sorry that the name your mom gave you caused you so much pain. Kids can be cruel sometimes. : (

God knows everything, which means that He knew what your mom would name you, knew that it would cause you pain, and knew that you would change your name to Marie. I can only guess that He would call you Marie. But I feel confident, from knowing you like I do, that He will call you His child. And, that's all that really matters in the end.
