Thanks for posting this. It's about time someone step out of the boat and spoke the truth. Everything he said is true.Im tierd of the sugar coat preaching that is done in this day.It more impotant to preach what people want to hear than to preach Gods word.Finally someone who cares more about God than what man thinks or says.In today churchs it's all about numbers and money and who has the best,biggest church.

That's amazing! I just watched that speech by Paul Washer just a couple of days ago. That was a very good speech.

Anyway, we will be known by our fruit. What we assume is that just saying those "magical" words will immediately qualify us into heaven. We missunderstand one VERY, VERY important aspect here. God knows our heart. He knows if we really meant accepting His Son or not. For those who did not, their fruit will show by not changing from the moment before they prayed to accept the Lord.

We, humans, make an awesome mistake at underestimating the Lord. Paul Washer brings up the point that it is possible to live one's life going to church, proclaiming the Lord as Savior, tithing, being baptized, etc. and still go to hell because they didn't accept Him in their hearts to begin with.

To finish, anybody can recite that prayer. It's just words. Accepting it at heart is what the Lord accepts. Without that, it's just talk.
