What a wonderful discovery for you! I would also add there is nothing wrong with finding out who Jesus is. After all, he did say, "then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Something, I discovered about Jesus, that I didn't know prior to digging into the Bible, is that Jesus is also in the New Testament. As early as Genesis Ch 1 God said “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us." Us and our is the Holy Trinity, that means Jesus was there too!

I encourage you to continue to read your Bible (and more than once!) There is so much to discover there for yourself. It's God's love letter to us.

I think many of us are destined to go through periods of doubt. I know I certainly did when my Rheumatoid Arthritis was untreated, and the pain was unbearable. I couldn't understand why God was allowing it to happen.

Well, I turned away from God for 2 years. Meaning, I stopped reading the Bible, praying and going to church. God kept telling me to read the Psalms. So, eventually I started reading 5 psalms a day, because I heard Billy Graham did that. I read the psalms over and over. And I saw people who hurt, who cried out to God, and sometimes didn't get the answer they wanted or any answer. And yet, I saw those same people praising God.

I started to pray again, and God led me to a wonderful church and called me to seminary. That doubt was the beginning of an amazing journey, which brought me much closer to God, than I had been. It gave me a ministry of helping the hurting and broken.

I love your story, Gisell, about realizing that God was all around. I know that was my experience. God was always there, I just need to turn back and see him there! Thanks for sharing and encouraging all of us.

This is a very interesting post. One that we can all say we've experienced in one form or another. The only thing I can contribute would be a truth I've experienced and learned many many times. That which God has continued to establish in my heart. That we are not meant to exerience or fight through any of this by ourselves. Our faith by itself is weak, our patience, humility, perciverence, honor, etc. Anything that we consider to be a great virtue is weak by itself. We are not meant to rely on ourselves for him. The only way is to ask him to dwell within us and to be our faith for us, to be our grace, our himilty, our love. We are meant to be vessels for everything he wants to bestow on us and experience life through him. That is something that comes when we invite God to dwell in us and provide opportunities for growth. Then and only then can we also give all those distractions, worries, hate, and struggles foe him to also take care of for us. All those things can be transformed into blessings when we purposefully make the decision to give it over to him.

It is something that I have done and has always worked out in my life. My husband has been a witness to this and is softening his stance by giving his worries over to God as well. He is estonished to see how much this has changed our lives and Outlook.

I pray you will find peace in this and will be willing to give it all, good and bad over to our heavenly Father.

Read your post, can so relate. When I go though troubles and pray expected to receive. .. I find in hind sight the trial strengthens me. My Faith is stronger. Keep reading the word, meditation for the day. You will be stronger. God is with you

Very true Rosa,When I surrender it all to JESUS my faith is strengthened .We are HIS vessels put on this earth to glorify THE KING of KINGS .When we shine our lights brightly for others & demonstrate the love which ONLY HE can give it is a way to praise HIM .
I exalt GOD , HIS SON JESUS ,& The HOLY SPIRIT .These are the TRINITY and one entity.
