something I realized as I was raising my now 20 yr old daughter, You know how they love to call their parents out on anything they can ? While I was trying to "lay the law down to her" with scripture from the Bible
about what was right and wrong and salvation- She asked me one day
"Why am I the only one you "preach" this to all the time?-There's
so and so etc..... that you see everyday that aren't saved and you
don't even mention God to them!! IT WAS AN EYE OPENER!! I realized I WAS missing opportunities, And I prayed to God then and there to
help me to take advantage of all times to witness about him !!
Love cathyww
1. Don't criticize,
2. Don't judge,
3. Don't condemn
4. Don't try to control
5. Don't try to conform to another way of thinking
"To each his own"
"You do your thing, I'll do mine"
" Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
" As long as I am not hurting anyone there should be no problem with how I want to live"
It is claimed to be the balance and the key to peace in the world. If people would only allow others to live the life as they choose too this world would be a beautiful place.
Allow?
Choice?
What do you think a pedophile wants you to do to allow him to choose to do to live in peace?
As for live and let live among Christians, it is the word that points us in how we must live and what God's will is. Just as a christian takes comfort that God chatises him and puts himback onthepath, a brother can rebuke another brother and put him back on the path. There is one way the spirit leads us to live. Little things like what to wear, which way to move, how to pray are all things man can twist and they become rituals when God desires the heart.
TO EACH HIS OWN REALLY MAKES ME WINCE IN ANNOYANCE EVERYTIME I HEAR OR READ IT.
To cathyww, I hope you understand I'm not talking about ways to worship. The message on my heart deals with some of us Christians seem to shirk away from a world that sins and then refuses to point out the sin. This doesn't imply that I should judge you by where you go or how you worship. That's not it at all. Yes, your post has a huge point to it and hopefully, you understand what I'm trying to get at.
As I posted earlier, thank you for your comments. This was especially on my heart and I thought it good to share it.
