Please , say a prayer for the family of Brian Moore , a NYC police officer who was only 25 and was on the force 5 yrs. He received many awards and did an honorable job protecting the people of NY.
Somebody killed a policeman today
And a part of America died...
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
Just as if he had gone off to war;
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half-mast
To his name they will add a gold star.
The suspect that shot him will stand up in court
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend many long, lonely nights.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today...
Maybe in your town or mine,
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors
A cop put his life on the line.
Now his ghost walks the beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side;
He answered the call... of himself gave his all,
And a part of America died...

Some officers turned their backs on de Blasio as he Acted as if he cared for dead police officers .
Mayor de Blasio made very anti-police comments . Apalling . Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch said. “That blood on the hands starts at City Hall in the office of the mayor.”
and he said , “our city is safe because of police officers,” adding de Blasio was “throwing them under the bus.”
Lynch suggested police officers sign a petition that demanded the mayor not attend thier funerals should they die on the job.

I don't want to upset anyone or cause a debate but this hits home .I understand if this thread is deleted before it upsets others which is Not my intent .When the Mayor (supported by Obama) does not support police officers it makes the job more difficult for All the Officers .
God Bless the police officers who work tirelessly for citizens .
