What a blessing .
Thank you for strengthening my faith with this miraculous post and it reminds me to Keep my focus on Jesus .When Jesus and Peter were in the boat and Jesus walked on water and called Peter .Peter stepped out of the boat into the water to Jesus but began to sink due to fear .
When Peter's faith decreased and he took his focus off of Jesus .
Peter wasn’t the only disciple who had a failure when it comes to faith. The disciples came to Jesus after their failure to cast out a demon from a child and asked why they were not successful. Jesus told them it was due to their unbelief .
You have made my day ,Kathilee
I always thought I was like Peter whenever I have read the story about Jesus walking on water. Sometimes He gives me more faith and sometimes fear sets in..but I am growing as we all are. God is good
You are a sweetheart Strwy. Thanks for being you
I have to put my 2 cents in. Something I have learned about the walking on water story. Peter was more than willing to walk on water with Jesus. There was a storm going on around the bot when Jesus came to them, walking on water. But, Peter put his trust in Jesus. as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus, he could walk on water. But, Peter took his eyes of Jesus. He became caught up in the storm that was round him, and the boat. He looked at his circumstances, not Jesus. That's when things started going WRONG.
But, he called to Jesus to rescue him.
This is a great example to us. Try to keep your eyes on Jesus. But, that's not so easy. When we get caught up in things around us and get caught up in the circumstances, call on Jesus. He will rescue you (and me).
