PEARLS OF DIVINE PROMISES 31
"Lord, if it is you, tell me to come to you on the water" And He said: "Come". Mt. 14.28
This account should impress upon us the fact that the impossible can be made possible when the Lord commands and we obey in faith. In such case, even the greatest difficulties must not cause us doubt.
"The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tomb, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the city and appeared to many people." Mt. 27. 52-53
This great promise of the bodily resurrection for our full salvation is not understood by most believers in its significance. It has to be realised that the full salvation can only become reality through the bodily resurrection. In the in-between stage of death and resurrection, salvation cannot exist. The end of the ways of God is the physicality.
Even pagans believe in an existence after death. What distinguishes us from them is the faith in the bodily resurrection as demonstrated in Jesus Christ. For our bodies will be transformed also, to be like His glorified body, in which He could eat and drink with His disciples.
"Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."John 20.21
This greeting of peace of the risen Lord was not just an empty form of greeting but the assurance of the reconciliation with God, which was urgently needed after the troublesome experiences of the recent days. For without the peace of God in their hearts it would have been impossible for the disciples to become effective witnesses. This peace was an imperative prerequisite for their mission. How could anyone be a messenger of peace without having peace of God themselves in their heart. (by Christian Roeckle)

I am a true Bible "literalist". When the Bible tells me that anything is possible with God then I believe it with ALL my heart!!!
