No, this is no joke. At the start of December this year I'm going to move to Peru to be closer to my ministry. This is not for myself, but for the Lord. If you have time, please read more and understand that this will probably be a long post.
Back when I visited Peru for a short-term Mission project in 2007, the Lord led me on my heart for street kids and building churches. The real motivator was at the end of that trip, just before entering the airport, there were two young boys who were begging for some food or drink. At the time I had a half bottle of Pepsi, and I gave it to them. They weren't there just to beg, but this was legitimate. From that moment on, the wheels were set in motion.
Since then, I have had an inner struggle and must've prayed a million times in regards to this (o.k., that might be a little exaggeration, but it sure felt like a thousand). Part of me thought that it can't possibly be me that God would want to send, maybe, perhaps somebody else. I was scared and couldn't talk to anybody because I was unsure what to do at the time. I know Satan wants me not to step out of my comfort zone, but I can't help to think of those faces and how much I could help them by reaching and teaching them about God, His saving grace, and the Bible itself.
So as many times as I wrote in my personal journal here on DS about it, it's now official. In all likelihood, I'll be living in Lima until the Lord moves me to another location IF that's His desire. I thought to share this with you because I know you all are my friends and to me, this is the boldest move I'm making in my entire life!
Please pray that the Lord will bless the entire experience and that the operation will run smoothly. I'm already getting things in place and preparing. I'm learning more Spanish, kind of practicing on my soccer skills (LOL) and learning more of their culture.

My other friend says the fields are white to harvest in Peru. You will have so much to do for God there. I am going to keep you in prayer, for your safety and for you to be of valuable service to God and to the orphans. Bless you. I want to adopt you as our group missionary for prayer. Would that be okay with you and the rest of the group? You will have to keep in touch and post occasionally so we know what to pray about!
