I will pray for you and for you mom. She might need to be admitted to a hospital for some intense therapy and med changes. Hoping she gets the help she needs.

Praying!!!! Breaks my heart that we listen to those voices that encourage us to try such things. Those voices are real and they are from Satan!!! The only way we can fight them is by learning the truth. I am so sorry for you as well...I know that you are hurting and scared. Praying for you, too!!!

I frightened my children a while back when I took too many tablets, I never took enough to kill myself but I just wanted to blot out the emotional pain. Even though the logical part of my mind would say that this is just the enemy, the pain was real and I couldn't get rid of it, however much I prayed, however much I spent time with God and it is an awful place to be in but it is worse I think for those around who feel helpless. I know I have so much to live for and yet the pain overwhelmed even that. As Angela said your mum may need to at least see a doctor if not go to the hospital. I am now on antidepressants, something I didn't want to do but for my children I realised that for the time being it is the only thing I can do. My prayers are with you love Sharon

She has been hinting and telling me stuff like make sure you sing to the boys(my little brothers 5 and 7) and she told me to be a good example for them. she mentioned that all she can think about for the last week is suicide. she told me that no one will know that she killed herself, she will make it look like an accident and that yesterday what she tried didnt work. i asked her what she tried and she wouldnt say.

Is your mom going to a Dr? does your dad know she told you these things? Maybe she would benefit from a Dr. Please tell dad what you said here. Does your mom have a mother? You might even want to give grandma or an aunt what your mom is saying and doing. Will be praying, keep in touch razzy.

shes on zoloft and xanax. the doctor doesnt know about how serious it is... no one does but me and dad. i told dad some of the things i was going to tell him more when i see him in person. we are planning on not telling anyone else.

You have to let the Doctors know so they can help her get the help she needs. I will pray for all of you because it is a difficult thing to go through.

I'm terribly sorry to hear this. I work with people that are suicidal and their families. It's a very heartbreaking scary thing whether you are the one who attempts suicide or are a loved one of one who tries to. You and your family will be in my prayers

I would tell either my grandmother or aunt or uncle someone you trust you do not even have to tell your dad if you think he would get mad, If it were my mom and I was young like you this is what I would do. Lisa

I pray for your mom, razzy. I know that God can change everything for her. But there are some rules such as when someone says "suicide" then you have to tell on them. Not just here, but tell someone that will take control over her. Her doctor? A cop? Someone.

i spoke with my mom again last night and i asked her why, i said youve only been depressed for a year thats not bad. she said its been more than a year with finances and friends stabbing her in the back. she said this year have just been way worse. she said if it werent for the boys(my brothers) she wouldnt have gotten out of bed this morning.

it really does scare me i am trying to be strong but its hard. she quit her diet and is eating junk and what ever she wants because she can now she says(basically shes going to die so why does it matter what she eats). i woke up this morning came downstairs and shes laying on the couch and she seems kinda lifeless :(. I hate this why is it that things always go wrong. i have 2 mothers a bio one and an adopted one and she is my adopted one :(. the only chance of having a real mother cuz my other one cant even protect me and manipulates me through guilt so i have to cut her off. i just want my mom to be happy and herself again. I pray that my mom would be healed. i also pray for peace and clarity.

I'm so very sorry for what you are experiencing, razzy, and I'm praying for all of you. I agree you should involve her Dr, this is too big a burden for you and your dad to bear without someone trained in this to support and guide you. Your mom's brain chemistry is off and it needs to be adjusted so she can think more rationally. The best help for her is thru her Dr, and for as many as her family who can to be there to encourage her. You're all in my thoughts and prayers! (((hugs)))

I agree Bandmom it is a chemical inbalance and it could be aggravated by the medications she is on, both of these drugs can cause depression and suicidal thoughts, I know they are used for depression but it says on both meds that if someone has a worsening of their depression or suicidal thoughts then they should seek doctors advice immediately.

I am on Fluoxetine so I have to watch out for the same thing, please get her to see a doctor if you can as it could be the tablets aren't working or the side effects of one or both of them are causing the depression to get worse. I am praying love Sharon
