I think , we are our ideas and thoughts, hopes, ambitions, feelings and dreams. To begin a relationship and allow it to deepen, each of these aspects of our life must not be hidden, but be ready to be presented to God.

I really like this...
especially the part where he says "God never says, 'Really?! I didn't know'" For some reason I never really learned transparency with God - or sometimes with anyone else.

This reminded me of a (kind of old) song, "I'm not religious, I just love the Lord," by Scott Wesley Brown https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s45Rmap2Wlg There's a line in it that says, "God don't need your stainglassed (fake) faith, He just wants your soul."

I caught one of his sermons on the radio not long ago and really liked it. It was a pleasant surprise to find out he is the son of Dr C Stanley, who I also love. I will make time to listen to this one. Thanks for sharing.
