I'm sorry I am not very active with you all. I do check in from time to time and read what you have to say. I appreciate you reading my post and praying for me.
My name is Renee, I'm 23. I grew up in a dysfunctional/Christian home(confusing) my father is an alcoholic and when raising me he abused me. In 2010 I left the house fresh out of high school and my pastor took me in. Ever since then, I have been on a crazy journey that The Lord has takin me through. The emotional healing that God has done is truly amazing. Like many of you He has transformed me. This journey has been long and it isnt finished yet. Right now I am faced with the reality of who my mother is and how I have been hurt by her.
Recently my grandpa died and my grandma fell and ended up in the hospital. I have seen way to much of my family. I hate this. I like to keep my distance from them and because I haven't been able to, I am paying the consequences. My body has had enough. I literally can't handle the stress anymore. I am someone who has spent my lifetime learning how to control my feelings. I usually I do a good job at it but this week I have lost. By body has had it. I have not been sleeping, eating or functioning. Last night i layer in need with a migraine and my mind was loaded with flashbacks.
My mother said some things to me over the weekend and unfortunately I can't ignore the hurt anymore. I would like to think that she is the best mom and are relationship is good but, it's time to look at reality and see that isn't the case. I'm devistated. I lost my father to this reality and I don't think I can do the same with my mom. But who am I kidding!!!??? I don't have a good relationship with my mom now, I don't trust her. I think it's time for denial to go away. It's time to get my hands dirty and start seeing the truth. The problem is that the truth is painful. It hurts so bad!
I pray that God will show me this situation the way he sees it. I need clarity. I'm Desprite, I Can't get sound sleep, my stomach is in knots(I have only consumed a little food through the past week) And I don't know what to do. I am afraid that if I start seeing the reality of my mother that I'll have no parents. God has always been here for me, I know He's got my back. I need Him and his power to be tangible right in the midst of this heart break. I feel so alone. Growing up I was taught not to cry. I need to let all this out, I want to be able to cry. Now I see that crying is healthy. I need God to show up and show off

They call themselves Christians but their main concern is appearances Not true Christian behavior .
My prayers are with you .
God loves you more than you know and will not allow you to go through more than you can handle .
He will work this difficult situation out for good .His love for you is unconditional .
I have found that some people (most people) who criticize others have some deep rooted issues of their own.
I pray with/for you. God is a wonderful one to turn to in times of trouble. He (as Jesus) went through similar things. The mock trail, the "religious" leaders of His day trying sooooo hard to find something to accuse Him of. They said some very harsh things!!! They even had people make up lies about Him.
Matthew 26:59-60 (NIV)
59 The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death. 60 But they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward.
He's been there. He understands. Don't stress. Take it to Jesus, and leave it there. He's got you covered!!!
an old saying comes to mind:
like a dog. all bark, no bite!
Meanwhile, try to find something positive to focus on- a job, school, hobby, interest, relationships with loving people. God will continue to guide you through your activities and of course, when you turn to Him in prayer.

I like coming here because it takes my mind off all my worries and focuses me on Jesus .
