The sermon today was about gratitude. As some of you may be from Canada and we are celebrating Thankgiving this weekend. How many people are thanking God for everything. When we wake up in the morning are we grateful to be alive? I must confess, sometimes I complain and am not as grateful as I should be. the scriptures tell us to thank God for He gives us everything good. I need to remember that always. Thank Him for our food our shelter and our clothes because if we think we have done anything of our own might we are very mistaken. I am a culprit , in the past but more and more the gratitude I feel is overwhelming me at times! How do you think about gratitude? just wondering.
I am grateful for my family
I am grateful for my house
I am grateful, for animals
grateful for all of you and this group and your prayers
I am grateful for my sight
grateful for the sky and nature
grateful for rain
many other things as well and I could go on and on..

I have a list of things I always thank God for when I am doing my morning prayers.
My beautiful home in a neighborhood that is safe and full of kind loving people
My job and wonderful bosses and co-workers
That He provides me with the money to pay my bills, save for emergencies and share with others when there is a need. (And for school tuition)
I also thank Him for putting Godly upright people in my children lives to serve as mentors, or friends, teachers, classmates, co-workers or people in charge over them.

There are others things I thank Him for during my prayer, but those are the mainstays.

I am also thankful for this group. It's great to have a place online to talk about God and how wonderful He is.

Temp1e, I'm sorry to hear about your wrists. You can count on me for prayers. Do you have carpal tunnel syndrome? If you do I suggest those wrist guards you can buy at the drug store. I have used them and gotten good results. (((HUGS))) God bless you, I love you all

Hey! Our sermon was on Gratitude also. We were asked to stand and say what we were grateful for. I said "I am grateful for my church, I am grateful I got to go see my little red haired granddaughter celebrate her first birthday and I am most grateful for Jesus Christ". There's alot of other things. I told my husband the other night if we started counting our blessings the circle would get ever wider and wider. There's no place to stop counting blessings. Hope everyone has a great day.
