Psalm 82

God presides in the heavenly council;
in the assembly of the gods he gives his decision:
“You must stop judging unjustly;
you must no longer be partial to the wicked!
Defend the rights of the poor and the orphans;
be fair to the needy and the helpless.
Rescue them from the power of evil people.

This psalm speaks to me as I am inherently a protector of the weak. I have it in me. If I see unjustice..I become extremely passionate. I hate sin and evil.

I read the article. Some of it I agree with. God hates sin. Yes he does. but does he hate the sinner. no He doesn't. We are made in the image of God. I love my children very much and I am human. They are sinners and are not following or serving God. I pray and pray that they will turn their lives to god.

God loves us much more than we can ever imagine. He does not want one of us to perish. he loves sinners..thats why he sent Jesus to die for us.

Psalms 82 reminds those in power ("gods"), that God presides over them and renders judgment on them. That they must stop showing partiality to the wicked and uphold justice.

There are sinners, and then there are the wicked. We are all sinners. We ask forgiveness from our hearts and are redeemed by God's love. I believe that the article's premise is correct (God hates the wicked) but I think it overemphasizes that we should hate. In Psalms 11, the question is asked, "what can the righteous do?" The answer given is that God examines both the righteous and the wicked and HE will punish the wicked. At the same time, we do not run from the wicked in fear because the LORD will protect us.

Psalms 11 (NLT)

I trust in the LORD for protection.
So why do you say to me, “Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety!
The wicked are stringing their bows and fitting their arrows on the bowstrings.
They shoot from the shadows at those whose hearts are right.
The foundations of law and order have collapsed.
What can the righteous do?”

But the LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD still rules from heaven.
He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth.
The LORD examines both the righteous and the wicked.
He hates those who love violence.
He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked,punishing them with scorching winds.
For the righteous LORD loves justice.
The virtuous will see his face.

God doesn't judge anyone we all are all Beautiful in his eyes..
