you know I never really liked that term Jesus Freak. We are the chosen ones, so we can't possibly be freaks.

Sometimes I think people get this title from others when they push beyond the limits of making a point.
Sometimes a person can put people off by behavior that is too strong, if you know what I mean, and their message about Jesus isn't heard. As in, their approach is off key, like a vocalist being off key.

But, still, I don't care for the term.

The answer to this is simple in my eyes. Being a "Jesus Freak" is being completely 100% dedicated and devoted to the Lord and Saviour. Having Fellowship with other Christians is where "Jesus Freaks" get together to share, praise, pray and grow in God's love TOGETHER.

If the term Jesus Freak bothers you michelle, you could always consider yourself a Jesus Geek. It's a term that came up from people not caring what people thought of them. Yeah they loved Jesus and didn't care who knew it.

It started with the whole thing that had to do with Science Geeks, Trekkies...Math Nerds...you get the idea. It's a "label". Goths, preppies, emos, jocks....do you need me to continue??

actually mechelle.. the very fact that His chosen ones are "in the world not of the world" makes us... in the worlds view... freaks. By not living by the worlds standards, by not making their opinions our prime motivation... yes... freaks indeed.

I don't really have an opinion about the term, but I agree that "Jesus Freak" is a label, where as Christian Fellowship is an expression of what is happening... fellowshipping... perhaps they could merge as "fellowshipping freaks" idk. its late. don't ask me any hard questions.

That sounds like a great idea to me...haha Although, that's pretty much what it is already.

Actually I prefer the term "a pacular people" since that's what we are. If someone wants to translate that to freak well whatever.

WELL, JESUS FREAK CAME FROM THE JESUS MOVEMENT OF THE 1960'S. BASICLY, IT WAS THE HIPPIES THAT WERE ON FIRE FOR JESUS CHRIST THAT TOOK ON THE PERSONA OF FREAK BECAUSE THEY WERE THE OUTCASTS OF SOCIETY WHO FELL IN LOVE WITH JESUS, AND EVERYTHING THAT HE STOOD FOR.


PERSONALLY, I AM FROM THE NEXT(AND SOME THINK THE FINAL) GENERATION OF THE HIPPIE JESUS FREAKS. JESUS THUGS(TRUES.HUMBLY.UNITED.GATHERING.SOULS) COME FROM REDEEMED MEMBERS OF THE STREET GANGS AND HIP-HOP CULTURE OF THE LATE 80'S AND 90'S. I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE DESIRE TO LEAD THIS NEXT REVOLUTION. I REALIZE IT'S FAIRLY SILLY TO LEAD MALE MINDED REVOLUTION AT A WEBSITE THAT IS PRODOMINATELY FEMALE, BUT THIS IS WHERE THE LORD HAS ME RIGHT NOW, AND I AM GRATEFUL AND REALLY ENJOY THE FORMAT THAT IS HERE ON DAILY STRENGTH. YOU GET TO REALLY KNOW PEOPLE ON HERE AND SEE INTO THEIR SOULS AT A VERY REAL LEVEL.


THIS POST WAS REALLY JUST A SILLY PLUG TO JOIN MY GROUP "FREAKS FOR JESUS." FOR BELIEVERS TO DISCUSS ISSUES THAT ARE GOING ON IN TODAY'S WORLD FROM AN END-TIMES PROSPECTIVE. TO GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE AND DISCUSS WHAT WE THINK COULD HAPPEN AS BELIEVERS IN THE WORLD TODAY. THERE IS ALOT OF APOCOLYPTIC VIEWS IN THE WORLD TODAY, AND I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT MEANS IN TODAY'S WORLD TO GET ON NOAH'S BOAT FOR WHATEVER IS COMING IN THE FUTURE.

I BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE 2 TYPES OF CHRISTIANS THAT I AFFECTIONATELY CALL SAINTS AND SOLDIERS. SAINTS ARE GOOD LITTLE BOYS AND GIRLS THAT GO ALONG WITH MORAL SOCIETY AND TYPICALLY JUDGE THOSE THAT DON'T THE MOST HARSHLY. NOW SOLDIERS ARE THE OUTCASTS OF SOCIETY AND TYPICALLY DANCE TO THE BEAT OF THEIR OWN DRUM AND DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN ALL OF THE LEGALISM OF CHRISTIANITY. THEY LOVE PEOPLE FOR WHO THEY ARE AND ACCEPT THEM THE BEST THEY CAN AND LET THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB COVER THE REST.


I AM RECRUITING "SOLDIERS" TO MY GROUP THAT IS CALLED "FREAKS FOR JESUS"
ASK YOURSELF, WHAT KIND OF CHRISTIAN AM I, AND IF YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU QUALIFY YOURSELF AS A SOLDIER BY MY DISCRIPTION, THEN I DEFINATELY HAVE A GROUP FOR YOU.
