Hi Sister I myself don't know much about the muslim religion I would like to know more just so I can understand where they are coming from. I do agree with You that Jesus is the Way and the Truth.

I do know we have a small group of muslims that meet in the City of Poughkeepise and from what I know they are very nice People I think its up to us to show them the Love of Christ and Hope they ask what we know about Jesus and how they can have what we Have.

I don't know too much about that religion either. But one thing I do know, Jesus says that

"Many will be called, few are chosen." Matthew 22:I14

To sit and argue with them (which I have done many times myself) is pretty pointless. God gave us free will. We can either choose to be saved or not. It's really sad at times, but all we can do is stay strong in what we know is truth. Pray for the ones that turn away. That's all you can really do.

Our Lord loves the Muslims. All of them. I know several and I really do love these guys and ladies. They demonstrate love and extend it to me. I leave Bibles in their locals. Grow tired is fine but bless and do not curse, pray for them and leave the rest to the Lord. I was leaving an office one day and at the exit sat a Muslim woman with full attire. Head completely hidden as were her hands. The ONLY way I figured there was a woman under that mass of fabric was that I caught a glimpse of a toe with red polish on the nail. When I got to my car I laughed...hard! Then I prayed for her and her husband. Praise the Lord...always.

just continue not to judge and proclaim Jesus as YOUR savior.......ppl will see this in you and your actions the peace and love jesus provides!!!! being a witness can come in many forms! Jesus is the only way.

Kathyrsh, I think we have to separate two very different claims that people make that you get upset about.

The first claim is that anyone who is a "good person" will go to heaven.

The second claim is "Who am I to judge?"

As a Christian, I think the first claim is nonsense. NONE of us would be good enough to make it into heaven on our own. It was only through Christ's atonement for us that we could become reconciled to God. I don't think God looks down and sees "good people" and "bad people." I think God looks down and sees who has repented and accepted His son as their Savior vs. people who think they are good enough on their own without Jesus.

But because I view myself as a sinner saved by grace, I can NEVER judge the heart of a Muslim or of anyone. God is the ultimate judge and I am content to let Him be that judge. In His wisdom, He will be an infinitely better judge than I ever could be.

Jesus loved us even when we were nothing but sinners. So we can love Muslims, non-believers, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, you name it. And hopefully through us, they may come to know the joy we have in Christ

Christ does love each one of us--muslims included. However, we must reach out to the Muslim world too. The reason being is because they generally don't accept the Lord as their Savior and they need the true Savior!

Today the truth is unpopular as ever! Probably the most hated verse of the Bible currently is John 14:6, especially NOW. Even other Christians who are weak-willed are not willing to go up and bat. However, the "inconvenient" truth is John 14:6. It rubs against the world's "can't we just all get along" approach. However, it's a truth that's just as true today as it was since the beginning.

Bluntandsubtle: I think the main issue is people judging. There are good people in every religion. The problem is people Judge other religions because there beliefs don't match. Just because we follow the teachings of the Bible doesn't mean we are right or wrong. (I do believe in the Bible and the Bible is the book to follow) Just because others follow there own version of the Bible doesn't mean they are right or wrong. What it means is, we all believe different. Just because one person believe different doesn't make them evil or mean. It just makes there beliefs different then yours. It is not up to us to judge. That is Gods job and we are not equipped to do a good job of it. We are to show love to our fellow man, weather they believe the same as we do or not. I don't understand many of the worlds religions but that doesn't mean I will not become friends with others who share in the religions I don't understand.
Just as we defend our religion and the the fact that Jesus is or lord and savior what do you expect others to do, not defend the religion they have grown up to know and believe? It is only natural. Your job is to tell them the story of Jesus and then let God do his job. Do not upset your self with them defending there religion. God will do the tough work. He will work on there hearts. He will bring them to him. Just do your part and give it to God.

No one is telling you to become a Muslim. Maybe we should look at the "Who am I to judge?" comment in a way that says we shouldn't think we are superior to them, that they are so low that they deserve to be discriminated against. There are actual groups in the US that want to go and kill Muslims just for being Muslim. If you don't believe me, look at www.tolerance.org
Muslims deserve equal protection under the law. That doesn't mean I'm going to a mosque anytime soon, b/c I agree that Jesus is our Savior and Lord.
