Bible Study Question

A friend of mine and I are praying about starting a small Bible study. We both have been through relationship loss with her husband's early death and my divorce after a long-term marriage. We are seeking to uphold each other and perhaps other women who are struggling with managing life as a single person after years of marriage. My question is: do you know of a good Bible study which deals with women seeking to grow closer to God in the midst of major life changes and challenges? I'd appreciate your input!

Try finding something on Proverbs31Women.com. That might not be the exact website, but if you google it, you will be able to tell which one I'm talking about. Lysa Terkurst I think sort of heads it up. Good website. Hope all works well. I've been in YOUR shoes. Divorced after almost 21 years.

The women's group at the last church I attended had starting doing Beth Moore studies and they liked them a lot. I did a study at the church I now attend by Priscilla Shirer titled Discerning the voice of God. It was pretty good. Kay Authur (I think that's how it's spelled) has good studies too. I don't know if any of them have a lesson specifically for the subject you wrote about, but if you study God's word and seek Him out in any way, He will draw close to you. Proverbs 31 is good, I have it saved on my browser at work.

Lots of people go through Divorce Care. You may be able to use those materials. On the website it has a tab that says Start Your Own Group

Misred - I have done some of Beth Moore's studies in the past, and they are very good. BobSue - I checked out Proverbs31 and found a study that may be a good one for us - "What Happens When Women Walk in Faith?" Has anyone done this study? It looks like it will touch on a lot of the challenges that we're facing right now.
