I just went and saw the movie "Son of God" it realy touched my heart,i would recommend every one see it, I cried thru most of it, sometimes I look to ,much at the world around me and I realy needed to come back to the love He has for us all

I saw it opening weekend. Great movie. I think they did a great job portraying Jesus.

Thanks for the reviews, as I want to see it and wasn't sure if Jesus was portrayed well. I am excited to see it now..probably next weekend.

I don't go to movie theatres anymore due to disability but I look forward to seeing it when it comes to cable (in a number of years ) .

Remember the series Roma Downey and her husband did? It was on television, I didn't get to watch it, but my friend did and he said it looked like they took scenes from that series to make the film. I don't know, like I said, I did not get to see the series. Some things were a wee bit off, but for the most part a good story. I wish they showed the curtain tearing in half in the temple when Jesus died. For me that is so symbolic. they did a good job of covering things going on politically too..Pontius Pilate was feeling pressure from the Jewish leaders and from Rome

Oh I am glad I came upon this thread. I was going to ask if any one has seen it? I too was leery about going to see it.

I might go see it this weekend. Depends how I feel after working some over time this week.

Yes I agree there is a BIG symbolic in the curtain tearing in half in the temple.
