Christian Fellowship Community Group
A safe place for Christians who Love Jesus Christ to meet and ask for prayer and share scriptures from the bible. We value the posting of Christian music, poems, stories and also personal testimonies. Please let us know your needs, concerns and have some fun getting to know each other. We treat each other with respect.
i had heard this before, and when i first learned about it, i have to be honest, i was younger in my faith and it terrified me. some of the psalms are extremely frightening. we just have to trust that whatever happens, he allows it for a reason and that all things work together for the good of those who love the lord and are called according to his purposes.
personally, i have made it quite well known my distrust of the new prez, but i certainly would not want anything to happen to him. i hope since he is the man destined to be our prez, that he will do a good job and would make not only his family proud, but our country as well. my prayers are with him.
God Bless our president elect. May Obama be kept for the purposes of God and God alone. We have no need for any further concern than that. If we pray Gods will be done, and we find an atrocity occurs, then and only then do we need to give it attention as being the will of God.
Paranoia is not of God. Its one thing to be aware of the possibilities in life, but it is another to dramatically prey upon such energies. I think that the propogation of these types of supposed prophesies is irresponsible. The simple speaking of them gives them power, and if they were ignored and paid no heed, who is to say whether the end would be the same. By the power of the tongue, I dare say, the word is made powerful, and so we should use the word against such prophesies. I'm not saying that we should try to undermine the will of God, if it is such that this man die by Gods will, so be it, nothing can stop Gods will from coming to pass. But are we to believe that these innocent children are BY GODS WILL wished to be foresaken and the sins of his mother be not blotted out? Does that sound like the God we know who forgives all who come to Him in repentance?
This is where I get bothered by literal interpretations of "Gods word"... the psalms were written as prayers and songs TO God by men... and while I do believe that the Holy Spirit breathes life and truth into the word, I don't believe that this scripture reveals that it is GODS WILL for someones children to be foresaken and left to begging, or for anyones mother to be decidedly left in a chronic state of unforgiveness. MY GOD, if anyone comes to Him in true repentance and recognition of who He is... IS THE FATHER OF GRACE... I'm sorry... these may be mens prophesy, and by the power of their words come to pass... but I do not accept that they are Gods will. If it said it was Gods will for the man to die... that I could possibly believe... but those children to be cast out and have it called Gods will... NO! THEY, like me, can approach God in the name of His son Jesus Christ and receive the same grace and mercy and love and promises that I can. I will worship no such God that will blot out a child strictly because of its parentage. GOD MADE THEIR LIVES TO BE SAVED.
Makes me wonder how many take it literally to believe that there will be a mere 144,000 saved. Where would that leave the rest of those who are singing the praises of their victory today? in hell?
not everything has to be literal.
but this is.
THE POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH IS IN THE TONGUE
WE don't have to speak such prophesies, nor do we have to sit idle. WE must pray Gods will... simple... THY WILL BE DONE. amen. therein lies the peace of Christ. God is in control.
