Waiting for the Right Time Ec. 11: vs-4
OLDBIKER
Many of us have issues with waiting. I am one of those. I dislike waiting in traffic, in check-out lanes , etc.
The Scripture text for this message refers to a farmer, who waits and wonders what the wind is going to do and, who waits to harvest his crops, wondering if it will rain.
This world is full of people who are waiting for a perfect time before they do anything. Watch out now, Some read their horoscopes, some read the farmers almanac, some consult fortune tellers and some consult psychics, etc.
I would like to share some things we "Wait for the Right Time"!!!!!!
Many Christians are waiting for a perfect time before they accept a position of service: Teach a S.S. Class, Clean the church, call on absentees, be a church greeter, be an usher, etc.
Many Christians wait for a perfect time to try and win some lost person to Christ.
There was a story told years ago about a preacher trying to win a woman to Christ but, the nosy neighbor always interrupted when he would visit. She did this on 2 separate occasions and on the third visit, he won the nosy neighbor lady to Christ. The woman he was trying to witness to was already a Christian but, God was placing this lost nosy neighbor lady in his path every time, yet he waited to witness to her.
Many Christians today are waiting for a perfect time to Unite with a church in their community. They sign up for a phone, they get their cable or dish hooked up, they contact the water dept. and get their water turned on and, same with the power company but, they fail to seek out a church in their community to join and get busy serving the Lord. They leave their membership in some church that their great grand-parents belonged to or, the church they were raised in or, maybe the church where there membership was, doesn't even exist anymore yet, they wait.
Many unsaved are waiting for a Perfect time before they accept Christ as Savour.
Like King Agrippa in Acts 26:28 "Almost thous persuadest me to be a Christian.
The Apostle Paul was told by Felix the Governor to "go thy way for this time and when I have a convienent season, I will call for thee. Acts. 24:25 For him, that time never came.
I wonder how many times these 2 men, King Agrippa and Felix the Governor, have remembered Paul's message. "almost but not today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Truth is, all of this "waiting" whether by Christians or by unsaved people is nothing more than an excuse!!!!!!!!
Question: Why rob yourself of God's blessings by "waiting"? Don't "wait" when you know in your heart what you should do. DON'T WAIT TILL IT'S TOO LATE.
May God bless and use this message.

Amen. Alicia my daughter has made an expensive plane trip to Nashville TN and from there to Russelville KY to witness to a lady friend who is dying of brain tumors. In prayer for Alicia and this lady to receive Christ, I wait on the Lord, also to hear from my daughter how things are going. This trip was fraught with many difficulties and hope & pray it bears fruit. Alicia brought the lady a small Bible. Pray for Alicia's witness to her and also for a safe trip back July 1. We are all waiting in some ways.
