This Scripture today is the beginnings of God speaking to Moses about his return to Egypt and to face Pharoah to release the Children of Israel from Egyptian Slavery and bondage.
VS 13 " And Moses said to God, behold when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, the God of thy fathers hath sent me to you: and they shall say unto me, What is thy name? What shall I say unto them?"
vs 14 "And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM and he said, thus shalt thou say unto the children if Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you."
This I AM that is spoken of in the Old Testament is the same I AM of the New Testament. Here are some Scriptures that says who I AM------IS!!!!!
1. In John Chpt. 4 vs- 26 I AM the Messiah:
Look at the previous verse, The woman saith unto Him, I know that Messias comethm which is
called Christ, when He is come, He will tell us all things,. Vs26 Jesus saith unto her "I that speaketh unto
thee am He.
2. John 6 vs- 35 I AM the Bread of Life:
"And Jesus saith unto them, I AM the bread of life, he that cometh to me shall never hunger and he that
believeth on me shall never thirst".
3. I AM from above John 8 vs- 23:
"And He said unto them ye are from beneath, I AM from above; Ye are of this world, I AM not of this world."
4. I AM the Eternal One John 8 vs- 58
Jesus said unto them " Verily verily I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.
5. I AM the Light of the world, John 9 -vs
"As long as I AM in the world, I AM the light of the world"
6. I AM the door, John Chpt 10 vs-7
Then Jesus saith unto them again, verily verily I say unto you, I AM the door of the sheep
He repeats again that He is the door in vs 9.
7. I AM the Good Shepherd John Chpt 10 vs- 11
"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
8. I AM the Son of God John Chpt. 10 vs- 36
Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest: because I
said, I AM the Son of God".
9. I AM the Resurrection and the life: John Chpt. 11 vs- 25
"Jesus saith unto her, I AM the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet
shall he live".
10. I AM Lord and Master John Chpt. 13 vs-13
Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well: for so I AM.
11. I AM the way the truth and the Life; John Chpt 14 vs- 6
Jesus saith unto him, "I AM the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but, by me.
12. I AM the true vine. John Chpt 15 vs- 1
"I AM the true vine and my Father is the husbandman.
13. I AM Alpha and Omega Rev. Chpt 1 vs- 8.
I AM Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. saith the Lord, which is, and which was and
which is to come, the Almighty".
14. I AM the first and the last Rev. 1 vs-17
And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me,
fear not: I am the first and the last."
Sometimes, we do not stop to think about who Jesus really IS We often think of Jesus as the babe in Bethlehem, or the Good Shepherd or, the crucified Christ at Calvary but He is so much more than these.
He did not say that he was the I WAS which is of something past. He did not say I am the WILL BE, which applies to the future. He says I AM the I AM and that means for NOW, TODAY. He is the God and Savior of Now, today for each of us. Let me ask this question "Do you know Him? It is my prayer that you do!!!!!!!
This was more of an informational message but, it needs to be known and thought on, just the same.
