Purpose in Life Jeremiah 29 Vs-11
OLDBIKER
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you" saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end".
God has an interest in each of our lives, whether we chose to believe it or not. Life is full of choices. With these choices comes consequences.
If we have trusted Christ as our Savior, even through trials and hardships, we know that we are never alone.
The great King David, had a lot of hardships and grievous times in his life, due to choices he made yet he wrote Psalm 40 vs-5
"Many, oh Lord, my God, are thy wonderful works, which thous hast done and thy thoughts toward us. They can not be reckoned up in order to thee. If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered"!
I. God knows what He is doing:
a. He gives wealth to some.
b. He gives talents to some.
c. He gives teaching to some.
d. He give preaching to some.
But, regardless of all these things He gives to mankind, He offers Salvation to all. John 3:16 1 Peter 3:9
II. God will never leave us of forsake us:
The main reason our world today and our country, The United States of America, is in so much turmoil today is because WE have forsaken Him!!!!!!!! We have no peace because we have forsaken the Prince of Peace.
Jesus said He would never leave us or forsake us. This is why He said He would send "the Comforter" which is the Holy Spirit, to indwell us,. Jesus said He (The Holy Spirit) would be with you and in you. John 14 vs 17.
a. He comforts.
b. He guides
c. He leads
In times like today, we need His comfort, guidance and peace.
III, He promises us a great future:
Notice in the text verse, it says "give you an expected end".
We all must have an end of this life someday. James said "What is your life but a vapor, which appeareth for a little time then vanisheth away."
In the Scriptures, it says that a day of man are numbered. Psalms 90 vs-10
"The days of our years are three score and ten and if by reason of strength, they be fourscore years.
Yet is their strength labor and sorrow, for it is soon cut off and we fly away"!!!!!
In all of the medical advance of today, we really have not increased man's lifespan much more that David wrote 3000 years ago.
God has many promises to those that are His.
1. God has a plan.......we have a choice.
2. God says, "I'll not abandon you..........will we abandon Him?
3. God says 'I'll give you hope for the future"...............where do we place our security?
The future for the Christian is not here on this sin, sick earth,
The future for the Christian is a home in Heaven with Christ.
a. Heaven is a present place
b. Heaven is a perfect place
c. Heaven is a prepared place
d. Heaven is a place for prepared people.
Salvation is immediate and instantanious but, the Christian life is progressive.
Our Goal in life, as Christians, is to Glorify God in word and deed.
Praise the Lord for His Purpose, His Plan, and His Provision.
Have a blessed weekend.

i have tears in my eyes Pee Wee, this is exactly what i needed. to remember this while going through the things i am going through is perfect. don't let the green face fool you, i got a lot going on that is red face. i put the one good thing on my profile so i could attempt to ignore all the red face things going on. being reminded that God won't leave me EVER and that everything in this life is so short, as short as a vapor, means i can hold on because He is holding me. Bless you my wonderful friend! thank you for listening to Him because He spoke through you to touch my heart where i needed!
