Old time Message for a Present time World!
OLDBIKER
The Text for the message this week is Jude verse 14-15
I have heard many messages preached in my lifetime, by some great preachers. Billy Graham, Jack Hyles, T.D. Jakes, Charles Stanley, Adrian Rogers and Dr. David Jeremiah. I have read some messages by some old time preachers as well, preachers like Dwight L. Moody, Charles Spurgeon, John Wesley, Billy Sunday, Charles Tillman. S. M. Lokeridge and W. A. Criswell.
If you look at these men's messages, they all had one main vein. God's Dominion, man's sin, Christ's Atonement and God's Judgment.
Everything begins with God and ends with God. Rev. Chpt 1 vs 8
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending" saith the Lord.
"which is and which was and which is to come. the Almighty." Did you ever stop to think that God knew you before you were born? Jeremiah said in Chpt. 1 vs 4-5 "before you were conceived and came out of your mother's womb, I knew you.
Now let's look at the Old Preacher in our text today. In Gen. Chpt. 5 vs 24, we find that Enoch, walked with God. In that same verse, we find that Enoch did not die, that God took him and now in the New Testament, of our text, we see him mentioned again as a preacher and a prophet. What did he preach and prophecy about?
1.He preached about the second coming of Christ.
2.He preached about the seriousness of sin.
3.He preached about what we allow or thoughts and mouths to say. So, what kind of message did Enoch preach?
1. He preached a message for His own time: (Past)
Enoch lived in a very violent, sin sick world of his time. This was a time of man's decline into terrible sin and depravity before the flood.
Violence was rampant, people we living ungodly lives, and he could see the judgment of God coming upon mankind for their wickedness. His message and warnings were not popular to his society. Does this sound familiar folks?
2. Enoch's message would be current for now--( Present)
Christ is coming again!!!!!! We are closer now than we have ever been in history contrary to those who are complacent and say that "that;s been said and preached for years". So it has, but, we are closer now than we were then!!!!!!!! All prophecies have been fulfilled. Preachers need to get their mind of programs, false teachings, feel good messages, and false miracles. They need to get back to the basics of preaching the true Gospel.
1.Lost people go to Hell.
2.Saved people go to Heaven.
3. Being a goody two-shoes, doesn't get it done!!!!!!!
If Christ's sacrifice of Himself on Calvary as your Atoning Sacrifice doesn't get it done, then nothing you do will get it done either and, for those of you who misunderstand, I am referring to the washing away of your and my sins in His own blood, forgiving us and giving us the gift of Eternal Life in Heaven with Him.
We live in a world of compromise and complacency. I am going to continue to preach what God's word says, like God tells me to preach it, when He tells me to preach it, till lost people get saved, saved people realize what they have in Jesus and, I hope it hair-lips the Devil in the process. If my preaching turns the hair on the cat the wrong way, then turn the cat around boys, cause I am going to keep on stroking the same way!!!!!!!
3. It will be a message for the Tribulation Time. (Future)
Rev, Chpt 11 After the Rapture of the Church in Chpt 4, the Tribulation begins. This will be the worst time that the earth has ever seen since God spoke, "Let there be Light" in Genesis Chpt 1.
A. It will be a time of wickedness
B. It will be a time of Godless governing
C. It will be a time of violence
D. It will be a time of despair. destruction , depression and death
Now the next statement, some may differ with me but, here's what I believe the Scripture prophecies. 2 men, 2 preachers/Prophets will come on earth's scene. I believe they will be Enoch and Elijah. These are the only 2 men in Scripture that have never experienced death. These men will be killed for their preaching. They will lay in the streets, then God will resurrect them. Then Heb. Chpt. 9 vs 27 will have come to pass completely. "it is appointed unto man once to die, after this, the judgment."
Only the "Raptured Church of Living souls will escape death as stated in 1 Thess. 4 vs 13-18 and 1 Cor. 15: 51-52.
Now, look at our text again. It announces Christ's coming, it announces His Judgment and, it announces His rule and reign.
The people saved during the Tribulation will very possibly be martyred for their faith in Christ.
Question: What if Christ came tomorrow? Would you be Raptured or would you be left behind to face the Tribulation that we spoke of?
What about a friend that you know. Would they spend eternity in Heaven or Hell? Lost people are not ready if Christ should come now!
Enoch's message is relevant for the past, the present and, the future. God's message of Sin, Sacrifice, Salvation and Judgment have never changed and are always relevant regardless of the time.
Are you Ready? Christ is Coming!!!!!!
May God bless all those who read this message.

Amen to what your wrote. If Christ were to come tomorrow or now I would be ready to go with the Rapture. I am still praying for my unsaved loved ones and friends and praying for time for them to repent and be saved before the Rapture comes. The Tribulation will in deed be a horrible terrible time.
